yeah, this topic is seriously as serious as the title already sounds. i came to a conclusion. but before that i tell you guys the actual problem. a lot of people (mostly americans) consider the best player being someone from the usa. top candidates for that title are apparently mango, hungrybox, jman, dr. pp. but are they really good?
let me explain this a bit. first of all, mango isnt the "best" anymore because he "doesnt try". i think hes just using this excuse because he doesnt want to be considered as the former "best" (he wasnt best anyways, title belongs to armada) so that it can only be said that no one except armada was able to beat him at the peak of his success. but by now hes worse than a lot of people. so then, hungrybox is not a very good player, i explained that various of times with equations and stuff.
ok but this topic is not about how good or bad people are. this topic is about why there cannot be a comparison between PAL and NTSC players because of the huge differences in various spots and that PAL is the better and more skill-showing version out of them so PAL has the priority in order to show the real best player with his real best skill. i guess this sounds kinda confusing, but i dont mind going in depth.
alright then, it can be safely said that PAL is more balanced. the broken fox with his 5% usmash kills and his recovery that almost goes under dreamland is nerfed and there is more skill for all of us. falco is also broken with his longer spike and not to mention sheik that gets dthrow combos on peach and auto kill her at 120%. where is the skill on NTSC? and then you guys want honest players like armada with a lot of skill to come to you and play on your broken version of the game, not taking in mind that peach is EXTREMELY disadvantaged on that version. if you guys try to win a PAL tournament you would never stand a chance against the balancing of the version because NTSC players can only rely on easy stuff to pull off (like the usmash i mentioned). also jigglypuff is some sort of NTSC character because it fits right into this NTSC spirit, the spirit of lazy americans that can only rely on auto-kills and lame stuff without much skill.
that being said, let me reach the last point of my argumentation. i think that the best player cannot be someone from usa when he hasnt proven himself on PAL. therefore PAL shows more skill and right now the best player is definately from europe and its armada. he is also the best player on NTSC, but we will see him winning on pound so people really cant use hungrybox (who is very disappointing) as an example anymore. and even if armada doesnt count (because of his god status) the best player would be the next best from europe. amsah.
