Why do people keep thinking Brawl is slow and bad, is this true or not?

Time-outs are also rather common, and that's pretty bad.

No they aren't lol. Most tournaments will have like 1-2 games that go to time.

It's one of the many misconceptions about Brawl. The MLG series had matchslips which kept track of the games played in tourney there and iirc only 1% of them went to time.

People just assume everyone planks till time out.

It rarely happens most matches I play, I myself only plank when my opponent has invincibility frames and he's off the platform.
