Yeah, but that's what they ALL say. Jigglypuff, Link, Ganondorf, Samus, etc. The real question is who's telling the truth?

Seriously, Yoshi doesn't belong with the likes of those characters you listed (and you forgot Falcon). His pros outweigh his cons, and therefore he shouldn't be placed in bottom tier.

This whole thread is a load of ****. Why? Because nobody (so far) has not even mentioned eggs like WTF is that about? I have won most my games from superior egg play and for people that say his priority sucks can go die in a fire because I have no problem with it just wait until I enter one of these tournaments and all will be set right.

I didn't forget Falcon =) I just didn't list him because I don't think Yoshi is THAT bad. But seriously, the difference Bottom/Low isn't really that significant. Yoshi could be low or bottom depending how the list is ordered.

Hey I just thought of something, since you guys think Yoshi doesn't belong in low/bottom, who do you think the NEXT character above him would be (this should be interesting).

I think yoshi will be higher than mid tier tbh as the metagame progresses. It might be a stretch but I think if a player played a perfect yoshi match I think he could be low high.

Anyways, give it more time. I think we really are spreading awareness about how good yoshi can be. Even though I'm not all that great at him, I still beat /a lot/ of people when I'm in the zone and playing correctly and everyone always gives me a 'WOW I never seen anything like this' impression.

I don't see how that would happen. I'm all for it, but I can't see him getting out of bottom...Lol just kidding.. Seriously, I can't see him above middle; not because of his lack of pros, but nobody likes Yoshi, kinda like what PT is going through -_-

I've been with Yoshi since Melee, I grew up with him (I only had an SNES from '96-'01, Yoshi's Island was my favorite game.).

Falcon is probably worse than Yoshi and he's probably got a lot more going for him in terms of his fan base... because you know, people proved that he didn't suck in the previous two games. (He never sucked at all before Brawl.)

Despite me maining Yoshi and not having much experience with Falco, you've just illiterated a statement with NO evidence to back it up what-so-ever. It's an empty opinion, if you can even call it an opinion.
