Seriously. I love melee just as much as the next guy, easily my favorite game. But I'd REALLY rather not have this be a melee expansion pack. As it is now, people are already dropping out of the tounrney scene (forward, etc) because they're tired of melee. We need changes, it's a fact.

Besides, with a game that you can't play the exact same way as melee, new guys actually stand a shot at rising up in brawl.

Basically I agree completely.

But really, everyone that's complaining now is just whining. They'll get over it, eventually suck it up and start playing again lol

exactly. there are 3 choices:
(1) deal with the changes
(2) keep playing Melee,
or better yet, just
(3) SUCK IT.

Define "Afraid of changes" and 'afraid' is an interesting word your using because as it appears there is more people welcoming the additional characters, items, stages, and techniques.

"Besides, with a game that you can't play the exact same way as melee, new guys actually stand a shot at rising up in brawl."
Obviously its not going to be EXACTLY like brawl, it appears that so many posters are using the word "exactly" as a hyperbole to claim that brawl is SO much more different from melee. Brawl is not going to be a drastic change, individuals who have played the game felt familiar to the game's system so why are people act as if there is a huge change in the gameplay.

True, but there's no doubting that the game is slower. All I'm saying is, even a change liek that, could definitely bring in new talent to the scene.

Also, I've tlaked to people who have straight said, "I just want melee with more characters."

the only reason why i think ssbb wont be as good as melee or as you say "fear change" is because theyre taking out the whole reason why i played melee, adv techs

seriously if you take out all the adv techs then its just another game that ill probably only play for a few months and then say screw it

melee gave a depth to a fighting game like none before it, when you dug underneath the item battles and cpu fights, you found a really deep game that is the biggest test of skill ever made

oh and plus nintendo is screwing over hardcore gamers because they want "casual" gamers (total noobs) to start playing games

heres a message to you nintendo

STFU AND KEEP MAKING HARDCORE GAMES
