Sorry if this doesn't belong here. I'm still in High School (Senior), and they call my house... and my parents are conservative. But I think I will pretend to be sick maybe. Just for one day though. For sure I will be cutting all extra electives and what not. What about you guys?!

I could easily do it, they don't care. However, I care about my grades... and my band teacher told us last semester that if we even miss one day of the class he can kick us out. o_O I really don't want to be kicked out of band. lol.

... dude... it's a video game... go to school... learn there... about whatever you are currently learning about...

As for me I'm going to buy the game on Sunday then spend the rest of the day playing, on Monday come home, do homework then play it some more.

And that's how it will go on until summer.

If only most people took online classes, lol. Then we wouldn't have to worry much.

You can miss a lot in one day of classes... Like my music theory teacher last semester would tell us a test was coming only one day of class in advance. Although his tests weren't hard, I still would like to know when my tests are coming.

I'll have Tuesday to play it, since I have no classes that day.

I'll probably have a six hour shift to work that day, but I'll still have time in there to play it. Sometime after school throughout the week I'll have the multiplayer parties. I can't even joke about ditching (even skipping a class does not happen at my school, our attendance system is a giant bear trap) but may ask to have the weekend off from work. All my managers are gamers, I'm one of the workaholic types, they'll slip me a weekend for myself and Brawl. Heck, they'll all get it eventually themselves, they'll probably ask me how to unlock what because their schedules are too busy to play it as much.

"Alright, you two clean left side, you guys take right, push broom goes to John, and (name) is getting paid to play through Super Smash Brothers for me to unlock characters for my party tomorrow."
"...WHAT?"
"Kidding, he took the weekend off. We are using his file for the party, though, so if he shows up tell me so I can yell at him."
"Did...he ASK for the weekend off, or...?"
"We scheduled around Brawl coming out."

I don't even play flute. >_>

It's not getting in trouble, it's the fact that I want to be a music teacher and that I actually have some ambition other than playing some silly video game for the rest of my life.

Depends on the tests/lab exams on that day. I don't mind skipping a day of school but it seems that my profs just teach from the book.

I know I am.
I can miss 10 days a year, and I got 4 left, one of them going to this game.

I'm a senior too, so I might come down with a severe case of senioritis and be forced to sit outside Gamestop waiting for my copy of Brawl as therapy.

And don't hate the flute, maaan. Flute players are totally rad.

Wow, you totally just ruined the flow, man. You NEVER say that on a game-related site.

As for skipping, there is no need because there's no school on that day, Sunday.

If all goes as planned, I'll be taking classes that are only on Tuesdays and Thursdays so I'll have the Monday after release to play as well.

If things DON'T go as planned, I won't be taking ANY classes and will instead be job hunting. Thus, SSBB will be my life for about a week

Well, don't say it isn't true.
I don't like school very much, but I personally know what's more important. Even gamers should realize this.

But I also have the advantage, I'm doing school online, meaning I always have the time to play Brawl at any time of the day :D Unfortunately for Europeans, it comes out later, but I can wait...I can wait...

Knowing UK it'll come out on a Friday, meaning it's followed by a weekend.

I dunno if I'll skip college or not. It depends how close/far from exam time it is.

Though knowing Nintendo of Europe it won't be out here until the Summer Holidays have started anyway. :urg:

Well, of course school is more important, but on a game forum you don't go all out and say "It's just a video game." Just doesn't fit to me.

But like I said, I don't have school that day (Sunday) so it doesn't matter to me.

I don't want to hurt my future...I am not that addicted.
Heheh, 'cause one day of school will lead you to failure statis in later life.
I say go for it.
One day. Look, what's the point of the thread? You won't hurt anyone. I do it all the time. O_0

Skip the dang day, if you want. Blackadder says go for it. :)

Wisconsin...yay that place no one has ever heard o
It rerally sucks, cause im in 3 clubs right now (FIRST Robotics, Forensics, and chess) which will be on durning Brawl's release, chess is Tues+thurdays, until 4:30, forensics is Mon+Wed days until 4:30, and robotics is mon-thursday 6-9 (maybe even 11) and saturdays, 9-3

I got my whole days already picked for me, I get like 1 1/2 hours of homework every night, so ya, this kinda sucks
