Who thinks the Ice Climber's have been de-confirmed?

You can call me a "n00b" if you want. I'm not interested in being a part of your esoteric community. I am just interested in this game, so I've come here the past few days to share my opinions on it and listen to others'.

lol...esoteric. And what exactly is so "esoteric" about this community anyway? It's not like we have hand signals or a secret handshake or something. I think it's pretty candid.

Let's say, hypothetically, that the IC end up not being in the game. Looking back, won't it look like Rumble Falls is a tribute to them and their old stage?

No. There are no "contributions" to whether they are in or not. The only thing that decides what will be in is if Sakurai says "I want this in" or "I don't want this in." This is the only "contributing factor," not psuedo-similar stage updates.

Today's update opens that up as a possibility, since the Dojo has gone over 50 updates without an item, a stage, or anything else related to Ice Climbers.

Oh...and nothing related to Peach or Luigi either!! They must be out. And let us not forget Ness; dude he's totally out. And M2, Jiggs, Ganondorf...they must all be out. And let us not forget newcomers. They haven't announced any newcomers other than the 5 from the original trailer! 0_o They must not be adding anymore!! oh nohz!11

It's just one (valid) interpretation of the evidence SO FAR.

It's not valid, and it's not evidence. They scrapped Icicle Mountain because it was a terrible stage and everybody hated it. This is a better stage for that type of concept. For every piece of supposed "evidence" or "support" that leads you to believe that it means ICs are out, there are three more facts that show that the "evidence" is meaningless.

At the risk of starting another quote war, I'd like to suggest that joepinion might be correct.

Think about it: Sakurai has been very deliberate and careful in the inforamtion he reveals, so it could be that he revealed this remixed version of Icicle Moutain at this specific time because he wants people to think that Ice climbers have been cut.

Do we know that for sure? Obviously not. The information in this update proves nothing, no matter where to stand on IC's returning. So, no: Ice Climbers have no been unconfirmed. We can all agree on that.

Therefore, anything that people read into this update beyond the bare facts is just harmless speculation. And getting all worked up about it either way is just silly.

I dont think that this stage is even close to solid evidence that IC's have been deconfirmed, and I also don't think they will have any characters without stages to back them up. This may mean that IC's have a newly designed stage on the way!

Yeah, I mean Bridge of Eldin obviously replaces Final Destination; so there's no Master Hand. Delfino Island replaces Mute City; so Falcon's out. And the 64 Bumper replaces the Flipper; so don't count on Balloon Fighter being in Brawl either...
