It's all about Yajirobe, of course...

But seriously, if I had to pick a favorite character it would probably be... Gohan. Everybody loves Vegeta, Piccolo, or Trunks. Gohan was really annoying sometimes, but he really came into his own. Plus, he's the only Z fighter who became a superhero.

Also, Goku. Kaioken Super Sayain 4 Universal Spirit Bomb would irradicate everyone (too bad Goku can't generate the Spirit Bomb in his Super Sayain Forms, only power it up further).

Frankly, I never forgave this show for wasting my childhood with 3 episode long energy attacks.

Now my favorite Dragonball character is either Goku or Bulma. The banter between the two was just plain funny.

Vegeta when he was still a villain is one of the few likeable characters from Dragon Ball Z.

Dragon Ball however would have to be the trio of the gnome, the woman and the rat that always tried to steal the dragonballs.
