I hope Ike doesn't turn out to be like Roy in Melee, used a lot at first, but then, they all go to the faster swordsman (Marth I would presume in Brawl).

Sonic, among Lucario, PT, and ZSS. I couldn't choose, but I knew that Sonic was my ultimate-plan character. See, Sonic undoubtedly has a steeeep learning curve (and Lucario, too), so I'm going to use fun aerial girl Zamus. Pokemon Trainer is just a gimmick, I love the idea of it (plus I hear Squirtle's aerial too XD).

Personally, I thought ROB is an awesome inclusion of a character. Dude, he's so much fun to play! Anyways, I seem to be good with Marth, but I seem to be better with Toon Link. Then again, I really stopped caring on who should I be good with and started to hit the random selection so therefore, my main is RANDOM! No seriously, that is my main at the moment.

Viewing the first E3 trailer made me want to play Pit for several reasons:
1. He has wings (good recovery)
2. Bow & arrow (projectile)
3. He's Pit (seriously, when was the last time he was in a game).

After SSBB came out in Japan, Pit videos look decent enough to justify maining him. Marth is still a contender for secondary pick for maining. As for favorite character, it would be Yoshi because I still have fond memories as a kid watching those SMW cartoons.
