What I mean by a "career test" is one of those test they usually give you in school that results suggest career options that match your interests, work skills, ect. Also what was the top three results of the test?

I have taken this test but I'm still waiting for the results. So while I wait I'll like to hear other's results.

I can't really remember mine, but I always got stupid stuff with mechanics and other things just because I like knowing how things work and I think it's cool taking **** apart, but I'd hate anything close to that as a job.

My "careers" were always a bit sporadic because I had a wide diversity of things I liked in one way or another. They were such a waste of time. We did that crap in the sewing and cooking class, too(I can't remember for the life of me what it was called right now). I much rather would've sewed some more stuff.

I had a career test in 7th grade in home ec class. I forgot what the exact word was, but it said that I was going to be one of those guys that deal with dead bodies. (making them look better for funerals, ect.)

I remember an odd question on it:

Would you rather guard an armored truck or work at an office?

Kinda funny actually lol.

I took one in eighth grade, I think. I forget what the actual title of the top job was, but it involved computer programming, which I knew I wanted to do anyway.

What's funny is that my personality and my career interests seem to conflict (according to the College Board's online tests). I'm an ISTZ according to their test, though a test I took earlier makes me an INTJ. I fit the INTJ picture much, much better than I fit the ISTZ, and the INTJ fits my career interests much better as well. Problem solving and creation in the form of computer programming :D

I took one in eighth grade too. It told me to become an author or a social worker. One of my friends got nuclear scientist (or something like that), which is funny because he's dumb.

They really don't mean anything.

I took one in 8th grade...like it was ********. It told me to be something in the police force since I clicked YES to most of the questions that involved violence or something XD

Mine always have insulting things, like would you rather help disabled kids or grow vegatables for fun. Guilts you in, and then before you know it you are in the same career as the counselor that gave you the test -_-

I agree that you should do what you want to do and not what the test suggest.

Also today I got my results back and I got computer engineer, which I guess I find as a reasonable results because I like computers and technology.

Probably sleeping or in school.. but always in GA
It doesn't matter. I took a few of them like when I was in 9th grade and I'm a junior now, and my interests have completely changed. Now I get all these college letters saying they have this nice business program at their school, and now I would rather die than go into business. I mean, if you are asked like,

Would you rather:
A - Perform surgery on a patient
B - Control a forest fire

I mean.. those were like actual questions.. and there is no way to pick another. Plus, you wil never learn anything about yourself you don't already know..

Stamping your library books.
I just took one about a week ago, in sophomore year in high school.

It was online, and it didn't give specific jobs, but rather what fields of work you are best in. There were 3 tests: Career Search, Kuder skills, and Work Values. (or something like those 3...)

On the first, it told me I was best in 'Arts, A&V, and Writing (I think).'

The second said I would be most skilled in the travel industry (?).

The third told me creativity was my strongest point.

Not very helpful...
