OK, now I have never used a CBTar before.
And I mean never.
So, I am trying to base a team around him:

Goal: Eleminate anything that stands in the way of CBTar sweeping.

Simple as it sounds, it's not easy: the DP metagame is a difficult one.
Most of my previous teams are too defensive, as I many a times got pointed out by UmbreonMow, so I tried to build one with a balance amout of walls. I think I got it, but I'd like to see what you all think about it.

Before I give you the members, I'd like to point out one thing: I almost despise the starter. Unfortunately, it seems to work really well, and any adjustments on him?replacing him would be much appreciated.

Now, without further adue(SP?):

Butterfree @ Focus Sash
Compoundeyes: Jolly
252 Attack, 4 Defense, 252 Speed
Sleep Powder
Stun Spore
U-Turn
Tailwind(ugh...)
So, yeah, this is my dreaded starter. It works well cause it can almost guarantee, with only a 2.5% chance of failing, a first-turn sleep. And then you paralyze anything else they switch in. U-Turn away when your job is done, or Tailwind when you know you won't live another day. It has the potential to do so much, but its limited 3 turns makes in almost useless: any move suggestions are appreciated.

I dunno... You could use Aerial Ace or Safeguard over Tailwind, I guess...

Cresselia @ Leftovers
Levitate: Bold
252 HP, 84 Defense, 156 Special Attack, 16 Special Defense
Charge Beam
Ice Beam
Rest
Sleep Talk
The team's status absorber. Also a dragon-counter and a mixed wall, along with a rare unorthadox sweep. Standard Boltbeam type coverage in Charge Beam and Ice Beam, along with Rest and Sleep Talk for enlonged survival and, well, more chances to get the Sp. Atk boost.

Looks good.

Infernape @ Life Orb
Blaze: Naive
24 Attack, 232 Speed, 252 Special Attack
Close Combat
Nasty Plot
Flamethrower
Grass Knot
Well, not you haven't seen this thing before, right? Mixed Sweeper Infernape, something every team has to be aware of. Once this sets up, almost nothing stops it. Close Combat takes out Blissey and other similar special walls, while Flamethrower and Grass Knot covers most everything else.

Good.

Lucario @ Choice Specs
Steadfast: Modest
4 Defense, 252 Speed, 252 Special Attack
Aura Sphere
Psychic
Shadow Ball
Hidden Power[Ice]
I love special attackers not walled by Blissey! With Aura Sphere and Sandstorm and/or Stealth Rock up, it's a guaranteed 2HKO on the fat pink *****. Psychic takes care of the common Heracross switch-in's, Shadow Ball for type coverage(mainly Gengar), and Hidden Power Ice for Dragons.

Good. You could also consider Vacuum Wave over Aura Sphere.

Swampert @ Leftovers
Torrent: Relaxed
240 HP, 212 Defense, 56 Special Attack
Earthquake
Hydro Pump
Ice Beam
Stealth Rock
My Stealth-Rocker/Physical hit taker. With 401 HP, he's an easy switch into Blissey, sqandering her precious Softboiled PP's while setting up Stealth Rock, and takes at least 5 Seismic Tosses, thanks to 401 HP, and can also take on Dragons, if needed. Also a great counter against Bronzongs and Metagross's, both of which TTar has trouble taking out. Also counters opposing TTars.

Looks good.

Tyranitar @ Choice Band
Sandstream: Adamant
60 HP, 252 Attack, 196 Speed
Stone Edge
Crunch
Pursuit
Earthquake
My main attacker, with insane attack. Can decimate over half of the OU game. An easy Azelf counter, takes only a little over 50% from a Max Special attacking one using Grass Knot after a Nasty Plot, and OHKO's with Pursuit, whether it switches out or not.

Good.

That's it, I hope you can help it out =)
CS Heracross could do a number to your team. Megahorn for Cresselia, although it will probably survive. Close Combat for T-Tar and Lucario. Earthquake for Infernape and Lucario. Stone Edge for Butterfree.

8/10.

Until wii meet again,

I saw that same problem while making this team, but then I realized one thing: CS Heracross is used one move until it switches out.
If a CS Heracross is stuck against my Butterfree as a starter, I can put it to sleep, disabling its usefulness.
Or it can switch, and I do it to someone else.
If someone switches it back in afterward, then I just paralyze it(unless whatever they originally switched to is commonly a sleeptalker), or whatever they brought in the second time.

Otherwise, just by taking out it's fellow team members, Heracross gets less switch-ins, and then, even if someone dies, I can bring, say, Lucario in after a deadly stone edge on my butterfree >;'(
But no matter: in my opinion, I haven't seen it as much of a threat as I thought I would have, plus Swampert can take most hits from it, sooo.... ok

For Butterfree use whirlwind instead of tail wind.

I just skimmed but your team looks pretty balanced. You've got a bit of a ground weakness but you can probably work around that.

I lol'd at swampert taking 5 STs. He would kill Blissey before that.

Or the blissey uses softboiled.
I may try the Whirlwind idea. thnkx
Edit: Thinking about theif, since that can help me (sometimes) diable something else by stealing an item(like, once again, a Choice Scarf from Heracross =}) that something needs.
Testing both currently.

LOL me likes the thief idea branden though i have no idea if it would work. As usual your teams are pretty solid unless i get hax on your pokemon XP. And one thing i do have to say about the team (since u r usually the one fixing my teams) is that the ice attacks on your pokemon are all used as a counter to dragons, but half your team has ice attacks. Does your team really need that many dragon counters? Just a thought though i may be taking this the wrong way. Could u explain the ev spread for your swampert pl0x? Though i could always call you lol. I think you could probably think up a much better one considering the ones we've thought up (<3 glaceon one, and the java applet for max defense thing) Hey articanus... make a thread about the java applet giving link to it, i want it first of all, and i think it would do all the people on smashboards a big favor because it is so useful.
