Which of these characters would you like to see in Brawl?

Gotta put my votes for Krystal and the King (of Dreamland).

Captain Olimar- We should include some Gamecube-generation characters on the roster list. Plus he could have a moveset with Pikmin that would be nearly impossible to duplicate (unless someone else from the Pikmin franchise is included)

Deoxys- He's among the more famous Poke'mon, he's legendary, and his transformations could add to a unique moveset.

Diddy- Just like Wario, he's been deserving this since the first Smash came out.

Geno- McFox created a great moveset for him, he's popular in Japan, and Sakurai has shown interest in him.

King Dedede- More Kirby rep and Sakurai created him (or am I thinking of Iwata or someone else?). I think he was also #1 on the poll in Japan.

Krystal- A female and a rep for Starfox. She could use her staff from Adventures as the first staff-wielder.

Lyn- Another FE rep and a female swords(wo)man.

Ridley- He's also been big on the poll, and as a major character in Metroid he'd be an ideal pick.

Samurai Goroh- I know, I know. He's been confirmed but he's not playable. I still LIKE the fact that he's in Brawl (and he's made Douglas semi-confirmed now, too), and I WOULD LIKE to see him on a future Smash title.

Sonic- Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games? And Brawl approximately coming out in 3-5 months? Plus his fame, the clamoring for a Mario vs. Sonic fight, and the fact he'd just be a great third-party character in general? Hmm, I'll let YOU decide...

Wolf- Fox's greatest rival and he could bring in a moveset from Assault.

I just realized I forgot to vote for Lucario. Oh well.

The character I want to see in SSBB the most has to be Toad. He is in so many nintendo games... I was a bit shocked he didn't get a slot in SSBM.

Wolf, Sonic, Tails, Boo, Krystal, Koopa Troopa, Lyn, and Megaman could be nice additions too.

With the difference in size from SSBM cast to the number they said the development team is shooting for leaves a lot of room. Some new pokemon, or a drastic change to Mewtwo couldn't hurt.

I'm also hopeful some of the old heros in the first final fantasy games could make an appearance. I know FF has fallen off from being with nintendo after the PS1 move, but with a new crystal chronicles coming out on Wii it wouldn't hurt.

sonic acually has a good chance of being in brawl because apparently, they wanted sonic and snake in melee, but they were already to far into production to add them. but they added snake to brawl so sonic has a good shot at it

That wouldn't really hold up well in arguments at all, seeming that there are plenty of characters without any attacks that could be considered a "blank canvas" that aren't in already over-populated series, that have significance to their respective franchises (storyline importance, canon game roles etc.) and might have unique feature to them that would allow for some exceptionally creative moves. Players such as Pico from F-Zero, whom most of us agree have no chance, or anyone from non-fighting games like F-Zero, Warioware etc., could be considered a blank canvas.

Thus in essence a blank canvas may not be seen as much of a good thing, since a lot of effort is needed in order to create a decent moveset than a character with trademark moves that has a moveset that writes itself and if Sakurai did want to pick a character that was a blank canvas it'd most likely be from an under represented franchise and a key character among that franchise. One like Animal Crossing.
