Which characters do you play other than your main?

I like to play underused characters and become good at them. I didn't see a lot of Bowser Jr. or Wii Fit Trainer players back in Smash 4 (For Glory wise), so I wanted to show that they can be pretty devastating when used correctly. It also helps with my perfectionist mentality, where I feel the need to become the best player of that character, because after all, if nobody else is playing them, you're technically the best at them, right?

I also play a ton of Bowser Jr (he is my secondary), I have been picking up Greninja so I have been playing him more and more, and I enjoy messing around with Meta Knight, Jigglypuff, and Mii Swordfighter when not playing online.

I main Link, but Zelda’s a close second. Beyond them, I play a lot of Ganondorf, Ike, and Mewtwo.

Now that Squirtle’s back, I’m also going to be playing an inordinate amount of the Trainer as well.

I can also see playing a lot of Young Link, Duck Hunt, Peach, Daisy, and Ridley.

But there are a lot of times I like to main the random button...

There’s really only one character who could get me to reconsider my actual main, though. He’s a pipe dream, but oh man would that be sweet.

Honestly, Random Select has always been my true main. While I do play as some characters more than others, for the sheer majority of the time, I go to random when I play.

As far as Ultimate goes, man, I want to play waaaay too many characters to get a good read on who my secondaries will end up being yet, haha.

I normally rotate cloud, corrin, and zs samus but I do tend to play as pretty much every other swordsperson (except meta knight and toon link, pit and marth tend to get overhadowed by there clones too) a bit as well as an occasional donkey kong, bowser, zelda, ganondorf, g&w, dr. mario, mewtwo, wario, sonic, and rob and sometimes even kirby, samus, captain falcon, charizard, lucario, mega man, paluntena, bowser jr, and ryu and for some reason I have been dipping into yoshi a bit recently. Everyone else pretty much never other than when the game 1st comes out or i am really bored.

Loyal to my other secondaries, which are Ike and Mewtwo.

Then others where am skilled with are: Ness , Lucina and the Links .

I wish I was better with Sheik, Marth and Pikachu however.

Characters I can easily pick up and play are; Samus , Yoshi , Fox , Captain Falcon , Corrin and Ganondorf .

Melee I currently main Jigglypuff, but I have also added Fox to my list. With my secondaries being Marth and Falcon. Smash 4 I use ZSS and Cloud, with Lucina and Falcon as my secondaries. Other than that, I also like to use Mega Man and Greninja for fun. Have not played ultimate yet, but as far as I have seen, Zelda, Marth, Ridley, and Mario look really good.

I really only play with my friends, and it's been something we've bonded over since Smash 64.

Pick to Autowin): Yoshi's my main, so obvious, but Zelda has caused so many telefrag kills one of said friends has a meltdown whenever he's up against her.

Pick to win after a struggle: (Brawler). The latter two because closest I'll get to my most wanted character. The former because I just adore them. These secondaries I'm relatively competent with and usually do decently well with.

Could go either way: Even with Roy's awful mechanic, he's my favourite swordsboy. Wii Fit is my random character

Likely to lose with against my friends: Bowser's big but does well when against other heavyweights, Pac-Man's a bit too weird for me to be very good with, and Ludwig(not Jr) is a bit of a fun but no hoper but I very very occasionally pull off something surprising with.

Pick to autolose: Cannot control that bike. Cannot dismount when I want. Picked mostly for either massive handicap or to just say screw it and have a blast whilst dying a lot.

Kind of everybody. I try to find value in most characters, but there are only a couple I don't care for in terms of fighting style. The easiest way to do this would be to list who I DON'T usually play as, which would be and. I play everyone else at least occasionally in short bursts.

Sheik is pretty much a secondary now, but I still need to practice with her. I used to be terrible with her, but once I got good with Meta Knight, Sheik became much easier.
I learned Smash off of Link, so he's one of the easiest characters for me to use. Throw out projectiles to either create an opening, or to make the opponent make a punishable mistake is pretty fun. People tend to have a hard time with my Link.
Cloud is the easiest character to use, and he looks cool. I love speed and swords, so of course I use him from time to time.
I've been playing a lot of Lucario recently and he's a blast to play, even if he feels like a rather slow character with shortish range at times.

Haven't played her much recently, but I used her a lot when Sm4sh was new. I just really love that charge shot. Her overall gameplay is really weird. I basically consider her a tertiary character. Every other character in this part of the list is mostly casual since I haven't had the time to try to get very good with them yet.
Shulk I just really like his style, his long range, and his arts. I probably won't play with him in Smash 4 anymore since Smash ultimate will fix my problem with him. Though I definitely played quite a bit. I usually did pretty well despite not doing some of the fancy stuff that shulk mains do.
I gotta say people saying that Ganondorf is the worst makes me interested in him since it makes him abit of an underdog, and he's so fun to play with. Also, while other characters can kind of do what they want a bit and not pay as much attention to the opponent, Ganondorf requires you to pay attention to do well.
Ike is similar to Ganondorf, but a bit easier to use, and much simpler. I really like fighting Ike players more though.
Speaking of underdogs, Little Mac's character is basically all about being an underdog. He's also really fast, so I love playing him. A lot of people underestimate how scary Little Mac can be. Whenever I start neglecting my ground game, I switch to Little Mac for a bit to force myself to not auto-pilot by going into the air.
Robin is a magic/sword user. His gameplay just feels good all around. Just he feels a bit slow at times, and that limited use mechanic is a pain.
Then of course I sometimes just pick a character to do shenanigans with. Seeing how well I can do against an opponent using Falcon Punches or Game and Watch's 9 is a fun thing to do when I don't care about improving at the moment and just want some time to screw around. There are characters I want to put on this list, but really, I don't play them enough to bother mentioning. There's only so much time to play each character.

My main is Zelda obviously, I tend to play Corrin when I’m not playing Zelda. I bought the DLC last year and have it for my 3ds. I just feel like Corrin play style is so fun like I feel like it’s very fluent for me and it just an interesting concept.

Back in Smash 4, I mained . I didn't care how good or bad he was. It was Little Mac, whom I always thought was long overdue for Smash. In a sense, he was my Ridley.

I know there are some people who care about tiers, and hold nothing against them for it. As some characters are objectively better than others, but I'm a character loyalist. I play the characters I like simply because of who they are. I didn't care how bad they were.

Aside from the great almighty there is a lot of characters that i would like to play in ultimate, heck i'd play all the characters from them sweet trophies. but yea. (I play characters who i like and not who i find easiest, that being said i'm pretty good with Dedede so.)
Always loved playing Bowser, and he keeps getting better with each game.
Didn't realise how much i adore Metroid untik recently, Ridley's the big bad of the series and looks like a fun character to play as.
Even though he's not broken anymore I still play Meta Knight in SMash 4, Ultimate is no different... plus I tend to play every Kirby character in Smash.
He's Kirby, nuff said.
I LOVE retro gaming and GaW is kinda the granddaddy of Nintendo, plus I just think he's fun.
Never wanted to see someone return as much as Wolf, I love Star Fox and Wolf's my favourite character in the series so yea.
I do find the side special hard to control but it doesn't stop me from playing as this green little bugger once in a while.
Kinda the biggest retro character, was long overdue IMO and was worth the wait.
I like Pikmin, I like Olimar.... therefor i play Olimar on occasion.

is the only character I've been able to successfully use across multiple games, and is definitively my main (and one of my favorite gaming characters). But as of Smash 4, I do have a number of secondaries I'm hoping will carry over into Ultimate:

is one of the few others aside from Ness who I seriously practiced with in 4. It was really fun to master a character who many people don't expect to be truly challenged by. He's really good when you focus on more of a bait and punish playstyle. I'm hoping Ultimate only continues to buff him because he's another one of my favorite gaming characters.

is honestly really fun even if his frame data is truly trash. It feels so good to connect strong hits in Buster mode and be able to rep one of my favorite games in Smash. With an easier art cycling method and hopefully reductions to his endlag, I'm looking to continue onward with him.

really taught me patience in when to attack and how aggressive I should be when I get my openings. His slower attributes purposefully limit you and it's nice to be rewarded for that with his powerful attacks.

shows that sometimes, simplicity works better. It was easy to be inconsistent with Marth and Roy's sweetspots in 4, but with Lucina, I could use the fun Marth moveset without getting punished for not always spacing myself perfectly.

And of course, I have plenty of casual characters who I hope to improve with in Ultimate, but I'm especially keeping an eye on and now that they've returned. The former is seriously fun to play with in Brawl and the latter because it would be nice to be able to master a projectile-heavy moveset like the Links for once (plus he might secretly be one of the most hype cuts for me to see return).

The first character I used was I started with Melee so it was pretty hard to control him but once I had enough practice I could use him fairly well. He's the reason I'm into fast characters.
In Brawl I got used to playing as although was my Brawl Main. Actually by using Pit I learnt speed was not the only thing that could help you win from that I also learnt when to attack and when to dodge (when you use fast characters you can just rush into an attack and escape quickly.

I started of with in Smash 4 since I used him a lot when I got Project M but I decided to try some new characters so I tried and to be honest he's a pretty cool fighter he was also the first gunner I used since I stopped playing with in Melee (i didn't use her for that long) and I found out gunners are as good as other fighters if you use them well so in Ultimate I'm thinking of trying Samus again.

But my main still ends as the fastest Hedgehog in the world:
