Have you been?

This summer, I'm planning on doing a lot of traveling. I've already been to Salt Lake, and Portland, and I'm planning on going to Houston and D.C.

But that's just the tip of the iceburg. So tell me, where have you been that's been noticably awesome?

I don't have a passport (yet), so anything in the US would help me the most... but if you want to brag about your African safari, go ahead. It'll make the thread more interesting.

Well let me just brag about my amazing african safari. Kenya and Tanzania, pretty mad I tell you, charging elephants, mating lions, it was all going down in the serengetti. I think I was getting a pretty good vibe off one of those hyenas as well. Only gripe would be the malaria tablets, taste awful, but it's better than getting malaria. Oh the baboons! they were some cheeky laddies I'm telling you boy, they was all over the shop, bits hanging here, bits hanging there, puttin' it on display everywhere! And what about the Masai, jumpin' about like they were listenin' to the House of Pain they was! It was a pretty good trip, but in hindsight, we probably spent most of our time driving. I've been other places, florida twice recently, new mexico, france is ok, nothing too special, others too, but can't think of them at the moment.

So yeah, I mean, you've been to some pretty neat places too...

Let me see...

I've taken a cross country trip from Slidell, Louisiana (my hometown) to Los Angeles, California before. I've traveled and lived in Nashville, Tennessee as well as Brentwood, Tennessee.

And that ends the thousands upon thousands of locations that were graced with my precense.

None of those places were TOO unbelievable or exciting though. Or maybe they were but things do little to impress me... For some reason, I can't find enjoyment out of looking at a huge ditch, some chick with a torch, or four dead presidents carved in stone...

Eh, that's just me though...

anyway so far i haven't done a thing this summer aside from what i always do (play KOF and search for scholarships basically), at least this'll be the first july 4th where we get some fireworks of our own to shoot off and and that's dandy (i know it sounds stupid to be excited about but state law requires you to go out-of-state to buy fireworks and bring them back instead of buying them locally, so yeah)

Well, the thing is, I'm doing an internship for SkyWest airlines, so I get to fly anywhere in the US for free.

So that's why I'm going everywhere.

Oh man, my dad loves traveling and as a result he's taken the family to tons and tons of places in the world.

A list of countries I've been to:
United States (I live here...), Canada, Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Liechtenstein, Sweden, Switzerland, Denmark, India, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, England. So that's 17 total.

States I've been to within the United States:
Connecticut (my home state), New York, New Jersey, Maine, Massachussetts, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Rhode Island, Louisiana, Illinois, California, Arizona, Nevada, Washington DC, Florida, and Georgia. Also 17.

Honestly though, I'm sick of traveling.

Daaang, you have a well used passport.

Did you actually spend a week in all of those European countries (and Malaysia and Singapore), or did you just pass through them and count that as 'visiting'.

I've been to a few states, too.

Hawaii, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Texas, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, and Missouri.

One less than you. =/

No, I actually did spend time in all of them (anywhere from 4 days to several weeks). I listed all the ones where we went sightseeing and ate the food and did that kind of stuff, and left out any places I just 'passed through'.
You're very well traveled around the states too, that's quite a few places!

Haha nice! : )

My dad likes to travel a lot as well, so I've had my fair share of places xD At the end of last year, from December 6th to January 25th or so, we took 13 or 16 plane flights (i forgot how many already) @_@ To different places around south east asia.

Which was definetly very tiring.

But fun n__n

I'm too lazy to distinguish country/city/states so I'm just gonna pop down whatever comes to mind xD

Hong Kong, Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur, Penang, JB, Sandakan), Singapore, Thailand (Bangkok, Koh Samui, Phuket), Vietnam (Hanoi), Australia (Melbourne (Live here ; ), Sydney, Brisbane), Poland, Zurich, Paris, Canada (Toronto, Vancouver), London, Japan (Tokyo, Nagano, Fukuoka), Philippines (Manila, Cebu, Boracay, Amanpulo, a few other islands I can't remember), USA (New York, Minnesota, Buffalo, LA), China (Shenzen)

Umm..I think that's all I can think of for now xD I might get to go to Egypt at the end of the year : D

I'd love to see more of Europe though :3

I literally just got back to FL from being in Yosemite and San Fran for a week and a half. What amazing places :)

We stayed in the city for four days, mostly in China Town and Japan Town. We saw a couple bums playing mandolins and drums made of old china and pots. They were nice enough, as my dad and I decided to join them for a bit, just clapping, stomping, yelling, etc.

Then again, it wasn't all fun and games. A different bum tried to jack our car. More correct, our taxi. The taxi driver only spoke broken English, so he was yelling and swaying his arms everywhere. It would've been funnier if I were watching and not there...

...But it sure is expensive. 3.88 was the record high we saw for gas. $10 for a sundae. $25 for some sesame seed chicken. I could go on forever, but I'm getting tired :(

After our city adventures we rented a cabin in Yosemite. We saw deer, bears, a mountain lion, ungodly huge squirrels, and some baby fox. Mostly hiking, I was bound to get hurt. I was climbing a waterfall (Virgo falls or something...), slipped on a rock, and slid the side of my leg down a stalagmite or stalagmite, I can't ever remember. I now have a bloody gross scar about a little over a foot long from my lower ankle to the top of my calf. Luckily, it's all sewed up now.

So, you're probably bored by my vacation (still wowed by TM's destinations :)), but I did get off my lazy butt and got a digital camera finally, so pics here or at Pictoras.

Ummm...I can tell you NOT to go; mainland China. Worst place ever. XD
You shut up.

I toured China for a good two weeks. Saw a lot of stuff, met a lot of nice people, had fun. I also visited Disneyland in Hong Kong. It's really unimpressive compared to the one in Los Angeles which I will be visiting on the 19th. (I just found out three minutes ago ;))

Change of plans. I might go to Michigan instead. drats
