Where can I buy a good controller?

You can definitely make them for cheaper than that, and there are also cheaper sticks that work just fine and aren't as pretty. But really thats a stick, this is a pad. I shouldnt have to spend $30 for a pad for an outdated system. You can buy a wiimote or 360 pad for that much.

Other, options are pawn shops, classified ads, and craigslist. A fair amount of people have old gamecube stuff that they don't use anymore. Also, nintendo used to sell new GC controllers, but they stopped.

Also, nintendo used to sell new GC controllers, but they stopped.

to my knowledge they infringed upon a patent for the controller and refused to pay royalties
therefore they were ordered or willingly stopped selling the controllers
