When will the Final Video Presentation for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate happen?

Sakurai has recently confirmed that yes, the next two characters will be the last ones added to Smash Ultimate, so now it’s the wait for the Final Video Presentation just like in the Smash 4 days.

When do you think it’ll be?

Okay, after some thought; maybe, if there's no outright reveal, the last presentation could be announced in a Fall Direct.

Late September or early October seems about right. Good sweet spot between the normal schedule of reveals and "it may be a while before the next reveal."

I'm thinking it could be as late as December. Better to expect a long wait and be pleasantly surprised if its not.
It'll really feel like the end of an era this time. It's gonna be sad.

I'm still expecting a "complete" edition of the game though so i'm not sure when they'd announce that.

Well. Nothing Happened at E3.

So I'm willing to bet in December in a casual Nintendo Direct or sometime before that in a special presentation.

Though I do wish they would show off the final character at EVO this year.

Since EVO is still happening.


Regardless as to when the next character is revealed.

I just hope the next fighter is once again not another JRPG rep or another boring sword fighter.


I'm sick to death of those types of characters hogging up perfectly good DLC roster space and I want to see the final character be a fighter who does something other than use a sword or comes a JRPG game (I don't even like those types of games).


Let it be someone like Crash. Doom Guy (With No Doom Eternal Sword). A Resident Evil Rep. Rayman. Dixie Kong. Klonoa. A Kirby Rep. Sub-Zero From Mortal Kombat. Ect...............

Just please let it be someone other than another stupid sword fighter or worthless JRPG rep.


And this might be just me.

But sometime after all of this is over and done with.

I just hope Smash Ultimate gets a port that adds character's it couldn't add, all the missing single player modes, and better online that doesn't suck rumpus.

I agree, even though it sucks to think we'll be waiting 4+ months.
It would be fitting to get our last character announced at the Game Awards, just like how we got our first announcement there.

I have a feeling we'll be getting a similar "final presentation" video like Smash 4 got, and itll probably be announced alongside the fighter at the game awards this year.
