What's with 7/7/07

I have a local tournament on 7/7/07 :D

Well, considering that our calendar is pretty much arbitrary (arbitrarily uses base 10, arbitrary starting day, arbitrary number o months and days etc) I doubt anything special will happen on these nice round number dates. All this superstition surrounding dates is pretty much like astrology- too many people believe it and there is no reason to believe it.

What is confusing about this? 106, 206, 306, 1706, 1906 - NOTHING bad happened on any of those dates. In fact, Doomsday prophesies have been foreseen for decades in the year 666 when NOTHING happened.

Not true. If you read the history books, you'll find out that the world actually ended on 6/6/1306.

Well 7 is not lucky for me 13 is so I will have a horrid 7-7-07 but, I good Friday 13th.

Ah numerology. I'm not very superstitious, but I'm not arrogant enough to say that mankind can explain everything. Maybe 7/7/07 will be a very lucky day.
