it's to make up for the fact that if you get your shield broken, you automatically die.

It's not stronger than other shields, is it? In fact, if they're the same strength, larger shields are worse. I mean, they prevent shield pokes, but shield pressure is way easier in this game.

On one hand you will never get shield stabbed.

On the other, it makes shield pressure/breaking easier.

Since it's larger, doesn't that make it a lot easier to shield break for most chars, since there's more of it to hit?

I would prefer to be shield poked by something than have my shield break.

My Jiggs sucks though, I suck with everyone who doesn't have a good projectile, and I suck even more with Fox.

I classify Captain Falcon himself as a projectile btw.

I noticed that when I went from a alright graphics card to a good one I can now see the transitions from the match to the victory screen. (paper airplane etc)

There are still people who haven't upgraded the graphics driver?
If by upgrading you mean using Jabo3d8, then there's good reason not to. PJ64k is a little ***** when it's using it, and if it loses focus in windows - LAG SPIKE. Drag a window over pj64k? massive Lag! Drag pj64k around? BSOD :D

I only WISH I could use jabo3d7 but it doesn't work with pj64k in windows 7

I don't think those problems were introduced with Jabo3D8, because I remember I never had a problem with it when I used it with Windows XP on my old computer.

You missed the point entirely: if you could use Jabo3D7 was compatible AT ALL on Windows 7/Vista, then you probably would have all the same problems.

So what, do you WANT messed up shields and projectiles?

@ DMoogle I do have 3D8, I still can't see how dark Yoshi's shield is. I can see shields, Samus' charge shot, etc...

Weird, I have no problems with Yoshi's shield.
3d7 has graphical problems while 3d8 makes your computer **** up
From my experience:
Windows XP: 3D7 works fine, but doesn't correctly display everything (projectiles, shields, etc.). 3D8 works fine and has no problems at all.
Windows Vista and 7: 3D7 doesn't work at all. 3D8 displays everything correctly, but produces random graphical errors and crashes.

Sooooooo 3D8 is superior pretty much however you look at it.

u dont automatically die. ive shield broken a jiggs under the **** tent. i was really upset :(
logical fallacy

you broke jigglypuff's shield under the **** tent and didn't die because the tent was blocking
therefore
jigglypuff never automatically dies when you break her shield

Dude wtf are you talking about his logic was perfect. He presented a counterexample to the claim that jigglypuff automatically dies when her shield is broken.

He also used an overarching generalisation in his presentation of the 'logical fallacy'. You knew what he meant, stop nitpicking.

Also works under the bricks on the left side of Mush Kingdom.

Jake is definitely dropping Yoshi
It also works on Peach's Castle, with those things moving side to side. Never done it before, but it would be funny watching puff get shield broken onto that, but the platform moves out of the way, so she falls to her death. Either that, or the thing that blocked puff from dying moves away, and her death off the top was delayed but still happens :p

Now I want to go shieldbreakingcharacter vs Jiggly on that stage :p

Edit: Actually, thinking about it, would it be possible to break Puff's shield inside the pokemon box in Saffron such that she survives by hitting the roof of the box? lol that would be too good (especially if she gets stuck inside the box lol :p)

Yea, i bet if the poke door is open, and you shield pressure jiggs closer and closer, get lucky and have a chancey come out, and break her shield as you push her under the ceiling, it'll work. HOUSE/TAMBOR/BLAZE somebody TAS it.

his logic would make sense if he said "sometimes you don't automatically die if you get your shield broken under the tent" but he said "u don't automatically die" implying you don't die at all if your shield gets broken regardless if you're under the tent or not. I might be wrong about the logical fallacy claim but it's clearly a poorly written response. Perhaps rephrasing that post would remove any confusion :p
