ok, so im new here. just thought i'd start off by saying that. I think 5150's gonna put some vids up of crew team matches and some singles that i play in. so check those out when they get put up on youtube. ok now for my problem. marth counters my falco horribly. i dont know if im playing falco wrong or if im just not using the right stradegies against marths. btw, i have no mindgames... that's another problem. so any tips vs marth would be great. thx.

play with people better than you a lot more and you'll "get mindgames"...against marth i'm not so sure what to do. the smartest thing, i think, is to avoid chainthrows. Look out for fairs and utilts and remember the common situations that you opponent uses them in because both are usually combo starters.

Depending on who you're playing against, Falco can up throw, run, up air marth. Help you out a little bit. You got to hit marth with a shine as falco to start a combo, so you can short hop laser up to him, downtilt, waveshine through him, whatever you need to do. Also, SHFFL Neutral A's THROUGH MARTH'S SHIELD are pretty good. Do not land in front of him on your aerials.

Don't get grabed. falco can be really oppressive with his lasers against marth, abuse them. marth is going to try to hit you w/ a fair, uair, nair to get a grab, watch out for that. also, while shl'ing, try to figure out how the marth is reacting to it. if he shields it, you can approach w/ it to a grab, if he jumps over it, intercept him w/ a utilt/ aerial. It's just about being oppressive, and seeing how the marth reacts to it.

The most useless thing that I hear people say is don't get grabbed. No one tries to get grabbed, it's just that his grab range is ridiculuous, and its hard to avoid.

Cross up on his shield and grab alot and keep him above you. Dont up b into his counter like a ****ing idiot when recovering, watch out for him countering lasers (which can hit your from a suprisingly large distance) and watch out for WD fsmashes out of shield when you laser.

i'm just saying to watch out for setups that lead into grabs and l-cancel very well. I'm not saying ppl try to get grabbed, i'm saying consciously try to *not get grabbed* you need to know what leads into a grab, and recognize when the marth is trying to grab.

basically space your self... and shl your butt off... when ever you think about jumping... may it be a short hop or a regular... laser your butt off.. b/c you never know when your oppenent is gonna try to do an aerial attack on you... and learn his reach... (hit box as somepeople call it)
