What's the best way to run an entirely amateur tournament in 5 hours with ~30-50 people?

My computer science club at my college hosted a tournament last semester and while it was fun, it was a modified Swiss tourney with free-for-alls and 3 TVs with ~35-ish people. Finals was a three-for-all. I want to obviously have it as a double elim tournament where everybody gets to at least play a few matches while still having it able to end in our allotted time slot.

We can probably pull 5-6 TVs this time and I need to convince my club to allow me to modify how it was run since last time. Any help on how to run this?

FFA tourne bracket with this format:
Top two players advance each round: The player who survived and the player with the most kills of the remaining three.

Might have to make it single elim, but you could increase stocks if need be.

whoa, whoa. Definitely DON'T do what this guy says. If there's 35 people, you can do 7 pools of 5, top two of each pool advance into double elimination bracket. plus, with this you only need 7, maybe 8 tvs. I'm also assuming obviously that you are doing 1v1 for the next tourney.
