Smash 3DS What will you do first in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS?

Probably just jump online immidietly and do a TON of online matches although me and my friends are planning to get it at launch so I might go over and play some local matches. Other than that I'll probably just unlock a few characters then do some online or Smash Run.

Unlock Lucina ASAP, beat classic mode with her, then try out the new modes and mess around in For Fun before I start practicing for For Glory.

I partially liked your post because I love your sig, but it's also because I feel the exact same way about Robin. I'm grabbing him ASAP (and Lucina too) and I'll toy around with him in Smash Run.

I'll probably try out all of the characters I have at the beginning, do a couple of matches to see if I can get an early unlock character, and then jump straight into event matches.
After I'm done with the events I'll check ssb4dojo to see how to unlock every character, and do so. Then I'll practice my Pac-Man and Game and Watch skills, then jump into online with a couple of friends.

The first thing I do...is get a good understanding of the controls, and adjust them if I don't...you know...click with them.
I will the proceed to go to training mode, and get a good grasp on different characters that are potential mains. Marth, Ike, Robin, and Lucina come to mind.
After that, I will switch between Classic and Smash Run all night until my parents tell me to go to bed...then I will plug in my headphones and still Smash away.

My initial intention is to look through all the menus, and see what sort of neat things the put extra work into. Once I've comprehended that I can mess with the settings and such anytime I like, I'll probably pick up little mac and try out all the non-verses modes. I'm pretty eager to test the timing on his super armored attacks. After I've had my fill of mac attacks, Robin's unique item system is next for my learning. Once I have a pretty good understanding of those two, It's off to my friend's for some local multiplayer shenanigans. I think we'll be playing smashrun more than "real" matches, and I'm okay with that.

I plan on unlocking Rosalina if she isn't in the starting roster then mastering her in training mode and some Free-for-alls. After that I'll be online with my friends and trying to unlock all the characters without looking at one guide. After that, maybe start/join an online tourney

Edit: Ok, here's a better list of what I'll probably do.
1. When I first turn on the game, it'll probably ask stuff like 'Enable Streetpass?' so I'll answer that stuff.
2. Watch the opening cinematic.
3. Might change controls.
4. Turn off the black outline.
5. Try out Megaman in a 3 minute smash.
6. Try out Little Mac in a 3 minute smash.
7. Try out Robin in a 3 minute smash. (If he's not a starter then Mii Gunner)
8. Try out Greninja in a 3 minute smash.
9. Try out Rosalina and Luma in a 3 minute smash.
10. Try out smash run with Little Mac.
11. Try out the other newcomers.
12. Do some other small things like look at the trophies, try out the minigames, etc.

pick my favorite of the starters (probably pikachu but we'll see once the games out) and then play smash run and then im going to start unlocking characters. ill probably use a guide but only to see the methods of unlock not the characters, that way i can do a bunch of diffrent fun things then be surprised by who i get out of it while unlocking them as fast as possible

Depending on how I unlock my most wanted Unlockable Character and who's a Starter, I'll likely try to unlock said character while possibly using my favorite starter (which will likely end up being either Sonic or MegaMan as the Unlockable and Rosalina as the starter)

I love it. I feel bad about it not being my favorite 3DS game (I've been a Pokemon fan for almost 15 years, so there's that ). I mentioned this in another thread, but I'm not sure how I'd feel about Lucina alone (despite me liking her more than everyone but Owain) since she is a the third most important character (Chrom and Robin fill spot 1 together). However, now that we already have Robin, Lucina is essentially a bonus character and I couldn't be happier.

If evrrything works out (game coming trough the mail before 1pm, the game supporting download play which I'm trying to figure out now) then I'll do a for fun tournament with my friend. Have a Japanese 3DS, so I'll do Classic Mode with Link, to see who the first unlockable character is, then I'll do some recording of smash run , and update SmashWiki with everything new that I find.

I'm also gonna find out what all of the palette swaps and alternate costumes for the starting roster + the first unlockable character are. and then I'll move on to experimenting with classic mode.

That's good because Rosalina was going to be my main before Lucina was revealed. I'll be playing as her a lot too!

It depends on the situation for me. If its going to be a midnight release I'll probably go get it with my other smash bros friends and then play it right there on the spot for a tiny bit. Then afterwards head back to one of our houses and play there all night long doing 1v1s and stuff, maybe hold a tournament.

If its not a midnight release then I'll either download the game and play it at home or whatever. Regardless, I'm going to battle somebody in 1v1s immediately. I'll probably use Greninja again first since that's who I used in the Best Buy Demo (He's going to be my first main) and then I'll gravitate to whoever else I feel like and find out who I really want to play as.

It depends on the timing for me. If I get the game at a midnight release, it'll depend on whether my friends back on campus also manage to pick it up around the same time. If so, I'll be going online to have a few matches with them, probably using Samus or Link so I can keep pace with them better (I'll be fighting Zelda and Pikachu for sure, and my last friend will probably use Fox, but he's more up in the air). The Gamestop I go to is smaller though, so I might not be able to go to a midnight release like they are. If not, I'll pick it up after work and start with Smash Run to hopefully get a few custom moves before moving on to Classic mode. If Robin's a starting character, I'd give him a try in Smash Run first, but otherwise I'll use Samus/Link (before moving onto Peach, Sheik, or Captain Falcon). Once I feel more comfortable with the mechanics, I'll start trying to learn Robin, Rosalina, and Mega Man in training before taking them to classic mode.

Yeah, as far as I'm concerned, the following characters are practically confirmed to be Starters in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U just because of them appearing on the Box Art.
