In all likelihood that down-throw "burying" was actually a pitfall that was placed on the ground. Sakurai/Nintendo was mad trolling with this trailer.
DK walking forward would have been enough to trigger the pitfall well before ROB even grabbed him. That's definitely his d-throw doing that. I know most of us don't really use items when playing anymore, but it's not like it's hard to remember how pitfall worked. In all likelihood that down-throw "burying" was actually a pitfall that was placed on the ground. Not necessarily. I believe it's possible to pitfall someone from grab.DK walking forward would have been enough to trigger the pitfall well before ROB even grabbed him. Is there footage that led to this conclusion? I know they advertised it for Samus in the Direct but I didn't think it to be a universal changeStumbled onto another little tidbit, but it seems like characters can now jump out of charging a projectile to compensate for only getting one air dodge. The gyro pressure is about to be REAL
I think there are some things that need to be checked here:
from this footage it looks like up+b doesn't go as far as it used to
Just from looking at it, it looks to last the same or similar amount of time as Smash 4. However, it seems like more in Smash 4 because "tapping" gives us more height and vertical movement. Most ROBs "tap" instead of holding it like it does in this gif.

this is excitingHere's a thing to consider: how does ROBs Down Throw act if the opponent is hanging off of a ledge?
Many things that cause burying cause some kind of spike in midair - Pitfall's, DK's Headbutt, even WFT's Jab. This would be a potent tool against characters who have difficulty snapping to the ledge if it did the same.
I've been reading Robo~Luigi's tweets and everything sounds great so far. Hoping we get to see video soon!New info is trickling in from the Spain demo, will be updating once we have confirmed information!
