What was your first Smash game?

The same as many of you here, the original Smash Bros. was my first game, which was late 2001 but that was my cousins' friend's game. Melee was actually the first Smash game I owned. But now that Smash U is out, I've started to play its predecessors a bit less frequently.

Smash 64. Downside was my roommate always chose Pikachu and he was a massive cheese with Pikachu's down-B move. That kinda put me off playing for a while until I decided to give the 3DS version a try.
