This is a great post. I don't completely agree with you though; It's very likely that bands and artists like the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan and Pink Floyd, who are nowadays regarded as leading figures of the 60s music, will still be seen as the important bands and artists of their time 60 years from now...
They may very well be, but if things turn electronic, I expect Bruce Haack and his album Electric Lucifer to completely take over their image.
All of this is yet to be seen though.
Bob Dylan will be remembered
by English majors

I have to agree with "Hey Ya" Massive!
And Eminem took something and made it his own. Lose Yourself was big, but wasn't his best song.
