What theme music do you like the most?

Since I first heard the Brawl theme music (http://www.smashbros.com/en_us/music/music10.html) I was dissapointed because I didn't like that Opera feel it had...
I prefer both SSBM theme songs, the one that plays during the intro (http://youtube.com/watch?v=s3rnR8XCEMU) and the one that is played normally on Battlefield and the Main menu (http://youtube.com/watch?v=8bESOaR1HoQ).
Even the SSB64 theme (well... I think it's the most important song in the game) from the intro was way cooler than that Opera. The SSB64 theme music was also reused for the climax of the background music of SSBM's Final Destination and it fits perfectly.

What do you think? do you really like Opera for Brawl, or the previous theme songs were better?

When I first heard the SSBB theme in the trailer, it was pretty *intimidating* because it gave Smash Bros. a feel I wasn't used to at first. But now that we've seen more of the game, it's no longer as *intimidating*. But I like it though, it's really good.

However I was comparing the "core music" (as Sakurai says) from all the smash bros series, because the Brawl main theme is QUITE different from the others and I really wanted the SSBM themes to live on. I hope they are still included in Brawl as CD's, that'd be great and nobody would be dissapointed

Same here. I think that it sounds pretty epic!

Oh wait... the SSB series? I really do like the opera creepy latin stuff to be honest. It seems to fit epic style like the Star Wars light saber duel fight... junk.

The new Brawl theme is amazing. The score has such an epic (yeah, original adjective choice, I know) feel to it, and definately gives you chills at certain areas of the song. I'm really hoping we'll be hearing it throughout the menus and whatnot. :p

I was thinking about this, and then I realised, he's probably going to implement them all into Brawl somehow.

He's obviously going to keep the Brawl tune for its official game, but he might add in the music from Melee and 64 into the My Music section of the game.

I think he might do that. :)

I love the Donkey Kong, X: Tunnel Scene and Ridley Theme. They're just totally sick. If I had MP3's of them, they'd be on my player in a quick second. Serial.

I agree with both of you, when I first saw the trailer, I could tell this game would be even better than the first two. The opera music just fits so well with that fighting sequence.

Menu 1 > all. The Brawlifed version > all and its mother. However, the menu theme in SSBB is pretty good (same theme from the Nintendo World trailer; you can hear it a couple of the E4A vids). It sounds like a tougher SSB. The Main Theme for SSBB sounds epic.

If you mean Menu 1 from melee, then I totally agree. Its seriously one of the best themes I've heard from a game.

Oh, now it's just your favorite song in Brawl period? Well, I have to admit that I really like them all now, EXCEPT for the Kid Icarus song. It will never grow on me.

The Brawl theme is the best and that is not opera music.

As for the other songs in Brawl, I say K.K. Rider. Sounds like a Sentai theme.

The main theme is the best song from Brawl that I've seen so far. It's actually orchestrated (I can even hear a bassoon, and when that happens the piece is instantly made of win! ^_^), it's very catchy, and actually good. Not something I've seen from the majority of the songs shown so far.

Where do you hear the bassoon part? I never hear bassoon parts.

I'm liking all the songs so far, they're great tributes to the games they represent.

Meta's theme. Why? It is JAZZY 8D. And sax is the lead in it, from what you hear. Which means if a soundtrack comes out, hopefully orchestrated, we'll have saxophones to listen to this time! 8D

I didn't hear any in Smashing...Live! :(

Except it's MIDI saxophone... Which really doesn't sound even 1/4th as good as the real thing IMO.

I prefer the Melee theme song for a smash game. But I like the Brawl theme as well, as it is done by my favorite music composer Nobuo Uematsu, but an epic song to an epic game. My favorite part is the end of the brawl theme where they throw in the Pokemon sound from the end of the Pokemon shows.
