what the hell do I even do against ROB with Luigi or

God, that stupid gyro- all the damn time, I cannot take a break, even if shielding, I get grabbed. LASERS. His moves have a long duration hearing that smacking noise so many times as I get hurled.

I suck against ROB no matter what- what do I even do?

a good start is to watch videos of people playing against rob and take note of how they play.

I actually have a bit of trouble with Luigi. I keep getting caught in his Tornado. Tornado seems like a really good approach option against ROB. Also, use your fireballs to ROB can't grab the ledge.

You can try picking up the gyro for more projectiles. Also you can perfect shield his lasers.
But mainly, make R.O.B. use melee attacks, so try to get close with grabs and jabs because they are quick.

If you shield whilst one tries to hit you with his side-special, you can eventually punish him.

R.O.B. is really easy to combo, so once you get in close you can do that (and I hear Luigi has good combos... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zEhdgGu4wLc). Also, grab the gyro whenever you can, and learn how to use it, too!
