@ what % should I stop trying to rack up dmg and close in for the kill?

A lot of Samus's moves are based on comboing, while only a few can effectively insta-KO.

So my question is, at what % for the enemy should I start trying to bAir/uTilt/dTilt/etc. spam the enemy?

Not talking about edgeguarding or meteor smashing people off the stage, but instant KO moves that send them from the stage into the side of the screen/star KO.

I wait for 80-90% and edgeguard if needed. For an instant KO, you'd need more.

I usually start to think about it around 110. I wouldn't go later than that depending on how defensive your opponent is. You can always knock them close to KO range then when they try to come back just ledge guard with a charged shot.

-If it's a light character, just run up to them and d-tilt, then taunt then relentlessly as they *ping* into the background.

-If they're heavy, get them off the edge and work Samus' edgeguarding magic.

I've seen dair kill lightweights on Shadow Moses Island, a very vertical level at 120. Heavyweights stay on forever, 230. Ugh... But once the pillars are destroyed, bair can kill lightweights at about 70-80, and heavyweights near 100-110. Very nice. Best things I like though is using zair and missles to keep them at bay while you charge shot, then once they are set up, SHZair them on the ground then release the chargeshot. Killed Snake on FD at about 90.
