What music is the best music?

Before you start spamming various artists and start relocating this to teh entertainment place, I'm talking about pokemon music

It can be anything from anime music to game music.

I love Weird Al Yankovic's Polkamon XD if it listed all the pokemon this would so be the new poke rap XD

I also love the music from New Bark Town. Its just so **** awesome!

My favorite has always been the Dark Cave/Slowpoke Well/Ice Path music.

Don't ask why. I just love it. :3

I'm not sure how to take that. :(

I just don't listen to video game music much to be honest, even if I love it. The exception is if it's on a console and I have nothing around that plays CDs. The reason why is that for the most part I just play video games to pass time, so even when I'm paying a decent amount of attention to the game I'm still focusing the majority of my brain on something entirely different. So instead of listening to the video game music, I listen to something that fits my mood outside of the game world.

I've even been known to play racing games without putting a bit of focus on the actual screen. I usually do better in that scenario too, sadly enough.

We've had music threads before, but the last one is 6 months old so this topic is probably good.

This music is forever ingrained into my head from the Pokémon TCG for GameBoy.

Crystal's intro leading into its title is pretty epic, even coming from someone who didn't own Crystal until a few years back.

One of the most beautiful pieces from a Pokémon game. There's the epic fact that it's the final level of Pokémon Snap, that you've been working towards, the collection of Pokémon Signs in the sky above the rainbow cloud, plus the way it speeds up, increasing the tension to get a perfect picture of Mew.

And the last piece of music I'll post for now, the equivalent of "The Road to Cerulean from Mt. Moon" for me in G/S/C; it's incredibly nostalgic.

Man it was hilarious today. I started humming the New Bark town song near my friend, he started humming and it escalated into singing XD

LOL, me and a guy I know started doing that in chess club one time. >.> I started humming a song from Pokemon, the RBY Elite Four battle theme, I think, and he started humming along too, made all the more epic by the fact that we were playing against each other.

Anyways, I'll probably post up a Firus-esque list when I have the time, but I REALLY like a lot of the music in most of the games, so...maybe I'll list the ones I don't like lol. But I can say that, right now, my favourite themes are Team Galactic Battle and Cyrus Battle.

God Team Galactic has got to be the worst enemy in all the generations

Well vs cyrus music is pretty epic, because its remixed gen 2 music ^^. Although the team itself sux. To cope the HG/SS hype, I am learning the vs suicune/raikou/entei theme on piano
hope its on by sunday, just for the hype!

I thought New Bark Town's melody was pretty easy to hum, it sticks out from the chords played underneath . . . it even sounds like humming in the originals.
