What is wavedashing?

I've searched for it, but all I've heard in search is it being mentioned in passing. I'm sorry if I'm being a N00b or there's already a topic, but if there is I can't find it.

There's a little star at the top of the page with the word "Wiki" under it. Click it, then on the left-hand side of the page do a little search for "wavedashing". You shall find your answer.

I'm really sorry about posting this. I duidn't see the sticky that says read first. And I asuppose the wiki would be obvious. a mod can lock this if they want.
