Camelot hasn't been a division of SEGA since the late 90s when Nintendo bought them off SEGA.

It's like when Nintendo sold Rare to MS.

Flipnote Studio. I spent HOURS on that game. Then when I was done with the Flipnote (Usually took like 8 hours) I got to post it online and share it with people to see. I made so many friends on there. It's what made me realize I had a lot of artistic talents. Then in May of 2013 the online services were gone. Nintendo took them down. They were going to have Flipnote Studio 3D released for the 3DS. On August 1st, they said it would possibly be released. Hundreds of thousands of people stayed up till midnight, just to get it.Then it wasn't released. It hasn't been released to this day! (They did release it for Club Nintendo users but they didn't give us the online features.)Except they released it in Japan... which I can't get because I can't go all the way to Japan and buy a 3DS just to get a free software(not that I would anyways...)! I mean, the online thing is called Flipnote Studio: World and they only release it in Japan!? Note: I have nothing against Japan, I think it's an awesome place and the people are awesome there. But If Nintendo doesn't want USA to get FS3D then just put the old website back up!!! Ugh... sorry about that XD

I was (and am still) VERY upset by nintendo decision not to include offline multi-player for Splatoon.
I bought it day one, didn't even bother checking if such a mode existed because it was so obvious to me. What is the next step : MK without offline play? Mario party while you're at it?

Video games are about 4 person on a couch for f*** sake. What would have prevented from allowing a team of 4 going online together or playing against CPU teams?

I don't think I will ever play that game. It seems fun, but I have no interest in playing it without being allowed to play with people I know.

@ the.tok I know exactly what you mean. There is only the Dojo thingy where you can play with 1-2 people (Not quite sure) and that's it. I was really disappointed too.

There really hasn't been anything that Nintendo has done to upset me. But one of the minor things that has upset me was hearing the announcement for the US version of Fire Emblem Fates, come out in 2016!! Like really? I don't want to wait that long!

Nintendo's incompetence about online multiplayer. I still don't think they've grasped their minds around the concept. It's partly due to the fact that they don't want people trash talking each other online, and partly because I don't think they're experienced in that field. I understand they probably don't want to add a higher rating on their ESRP, but they have to evolve eventually. For example, not being able to talk with friends in matches in games such as MK8 and SSB4 really bugs me.

Hopefully the NX will finally address these issues, but I'm not holding my breath.

Region locking. Why is it still here at his point? Sony has proven it kinda unnecessary in this day and age with the PS3 and PS4.

By extension, why did they start adding it to their handhelds? They didn't need it before, why now? I know I'd get the domestic versions whenever possible anyways, but some games don't have a domestic version to speak of...

Thank goodness some series have Playstation versions, or else I might have stopped at the DS installments out of being unable to go any further.

I just don't know what to think of Nintendo these days. It feels like they've lost a lot of their original spirit after SEGA stopped making consoles. Remember the slogan "Get N or get out"? I realize we live in different times but the point is Nintendo was willing to put itself out there and compete. Nowadays it feels as though they just avoid confrontation with the other platforms all together.

I am aware that most of Nintendo's business decisions are made by shareholders coming together and voting on what is to be done rather than the president or higher ups making decisions. Unfortunately most of these shareholders are elderly Japanese men and women who don't care for much outside of Japan and I can't imagine that they keep too up to date with gaming trends either.

I just wish that Nintendo would just take the wake up call, right now they treat us, the consumer, like school children. We aren't allowed to run in the playground because if we cut ourselves our parents will sue. Stop restricting us, give us things like voice chat.

How bad they are at naming consoles. I mean, Wii and DS were clever, and 3DS was ok, but WII U AND NEW 3DS? Come on Nintendo! I'm sure that part of why the Wii U can't really be called a commercial success is because of its name. Many people STILL believe that the Game Pad is an accessory for the original Wii. That, and how horribly it was marketed, and its awful launch title lineup.

Also how Club Nintendo members from Europe and Japan got more (and better) prizes than us in the Americas. Hopefully they'll fix that with the successor.

There may be other things, but I don't really remember them.

Smash's online is disappointing too. The biggest problem being the lag issue. It just hurts when Mario Kart has quick matchmaking and perfectly smooth gameplay and then Smash has stuttering, freezing, and connections crashing. All of those games are basically indie projects. They might have a leg up on a few narrow technical specifics of modeling driving, or offer things like higher resolutions (though with worse visual design), mod support, etc., but they're usually always ridden with bugs and major UI issues. Polyphony and Turn 10's efforts display a professionalism, coherence and verisimilitude that none of the small-time sims can match. None of these games to date have succeeded at ticking off 100% of the boxes that auto nerds want, anyway, and if you want to talk nitpicks and specifics, I am unaware of another sim besides Forza 6 that accurately simulates hydroplaning on rainy tracks.

Getting back to the original subject, how is NFS not at least semi-realistic? We're not talking Burnout here, which I wouldn't even consider a racing game. For that matter, do you really think a hardcore, realistic racing sim would have any chance of SELLING on a Nintendo console?

You've seen the warping and stuff like that in shooters and MK right? That's where the lag goes. Imagine how unplayable Smash would be with warping Little Macs. Yeah, I'll take the slowdown.

There's no realistic way to improve the connection quality of online matches... No amount of improved netcode or dedicated servers or whatever will make this lag go away. If you want anything faster you'll have to accept warping.
