What games do you want to be released to Wii U? Personally, I miss the GameCube era, and I wish games from that time would be continued. With the release of the Wii, I felt that some sequels to games almost ruined the series (Monkey Ball went downhill quickly, for example). Here are my most wanted games for Wii U, with reasons why...

Kirby Air Ride 2
Kirby Air Ride has always been one of my favorite games, from the vehicles to City Trial to the simplicity of the controls. Although it did not sell as well as expected, this game can be made so much better with the addition of online play, more modes, and more vehicles.

Another Paper Mario following TTYD playing-style
The first Paper Mario was great. The Thousand Year Door was amazing. Super Paper Mario was okay... but Sticker Star sealed the deal that the series needed to return to it's roots. Another Paper Mario with funny dialogue, unique partners, and turn-based fighting would have my buy in a heartbeat.

Another Super Monkey Ball similar to SMB and SMB2
When Super Monkey Ball was released for Wii, it initially looked promising. But the faulty controls, ability to jump, and boss fights took away what made Monkey Ball so fun. The original two Monkey Balls had unique level designs and was always fun to come back to. So fun, in fact, I beat every single level in the game.

A Sonic game featuring a Chao Garden
I don't even care if it's just a game called "Chao Garden". Chaos need to come back. Not many people may agree, but without Chaos, Sonic DX and SA2B would not have been such a success and wouldn't have kept a player's interest for so long. With new graphics and ideas, another Chao game could bring so much more to the table in the Sonic series.

Super Mario Sunshine 2
Super Mario Sunshine... one of the best titles for GameCube. I personally do not like Mario Platform games, because they usually are dull and don't have replay value once they are beaten. Mario Galaxy was a great game, but again, it was just level after level. Super Mario Sunshine had Delfino Plaza to run around in, a multitude of people to interact with, and 120 Shine Sprites to collect. I played this game for about 3 whole years, and barely got to 90 Shine Sprites.

What games do you want Nintendo to release? Do you agree with this list? With the Wii U's incredible graphics and the 3DS's portability, games that appeal to many users can benefit the systems as a whole. Post your opinion below!

Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn compilation
With the recent increase of popularity of the Fire Emblem franchise, the current high price of FE9 and FE10 on the second hand market, and Ike returning from Brawl to Smash 4 (and, on top on that, with a redesign based on RD) this game has every reason to exist. Radiant Dawn was one of my favorite games when I had it as well as a Wii, but since a few years my Wii doesn't work and I don't have the game anymore. I recently got the opportunity to play it again for the first five chapters and really enjoyed it; I missed this game so much! However, I still don't own the game, and I never had the opportunity to play Path of Radiance. As both games are closely related story-wise (RD being PoR's sequel) and even share a large number of characters, a compilation of both would make perfect sense, especially given that RD lets you import data from PoR if save data of this game is found; I also find the lack of RD Wii U download rather suspicious, even though IS has to work on FE14 and SMTxFE first but I suspect them to keep this compilation for later, but maybe it could mean nothing... It could be either released on the 3DS (portability is good for games like FE + awesome attack animations enhanced with 3D) or the Wii U (awesome attack animations enhanced with HD). Though I really, really hope to not see the pair-up implemented in those games (such a broken an uninteresting mechanic, at least as it is in Awakening), but I wouldn't mind a casual mode being added.

A new 3D Rayman game
When I was a kid I thought that 3D platformers were the most notable video gaming genre... well, this time is over now ahah. Anyway, Rayman 2 and 3 were defining games of my childhood, with solid gameplay, charming universe and a lot of secrets to discover in most levels. I'm glad the series survived after the Rabbid misstep, and Rayman Legends was a lot of fun, but I really hope the series has a future about 3D platforming.

A Wii U Kid Icarus game
I don't have Kid Icarus: Uprising nor a real interest in getting it, but after the revival the series got it would be awful if it is abandoned again, especially after the overly high amount of representation it got in Smash 4, and if a sequel is announced I'd gladly give KI:U a try. It'd better if the game was released on the Wii U, as home console gaming seems better suited for the genre, plus the perfectly sized right stick would be much better for left handed players (I'm right handed, but I definitely feel sympathetic for them).

The Wonderful 101 new game
It's a great game with a lot of fun involved and I'd like it to not be a one-time thing. I know quite a lot of people don't really like the shape drawing controls, but I honestly find them to be fine (as long as you use the right stick, not the Gamepad's screen...) and it'd be a shame is it's a factor against the series getting a future.

More games using the Gamecube adapter
The Gamecube adapter was created with nostalgia in mind, as it's the only controller for Melee and the best one for Brawl (and as an added bonus it prevents interferences in tournies as it's the only way to play to Smash 4 with a wired controller). However, due to being a niche product, it was under-produced and thus bought in large quantities by scalpers, making it literally impossible to get for a decent price unless you preordered it or bought it in the first release days. It'd be great if Nintendo did HD remakes of some of the most famous Gamecube games which didn't already get a remake or re-release, such as Super Mario Sunshine, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, F-Zero GX, Baten Kaitos, or the already mentioned Path of Radiance (compiled with Radiant Dawn), all compatible with the Gamecube adapter for nostalgia purposes. This would make the official Gamecube Adapter to be reproduced and thus less of a pain to get... or maybe not, because anyway scalpers would buy all the restocked adapters lol.

1. Kirby Air Ride 2
2. A new Paper Mario that actually stays true to the first two games.
3. A Sonic game that's actually 2D and not in clunky 3D.

That's pretty much it.

F-Zero U:
I've stated my opinions on the series numerous times before on these boards. Get yourself together, Nintendo.

New Chibi-Robo! like the original:
This series had an amazing initial release on the GC, Nintendo asked Skip (the company that made the first one) to have a game that was completely based off of good gameplay rather than story events. This excluded some of the amazing characters from the first game, whose personalities gave the game life. Also, they had to make it for the DS, which gave them limited hardware. This caused the game to be set completely outside in a garden and lacked the vast, open world (of the house and a back yard, but it feels vast when you are 6 inches tall) from the first game. Also, the gameplay got somewhat monotonous because there's only so much you can do gardening.

Then, more recently, Chibi-Robo! Photo Finder came out and that was just going around looking for objects that fit into the little mold they have given you for what the object should look like, then taking a picture of it with the 3DS low-res camera. Kinda bad. Anyways, Skip needs to take inspiration from their first game and Nintendo needs to stop killing the IP with suggestions that always seem make the game worse than it would have been if they hadn't been involved.

New Console Pokemon RPG:
I would love to see a Pokemon game like Stadium on the Wii U, but after Battle Revolution, I don't trust Nintendo with that responsibility anymore. What I want is a completely new Pokemon RPG for the Wii U, more in the style of Colosseum or XD. I'll leave Nintendo and Game Freak the liberties of figuring out the plot, but I really want to have a Pokemon that can be played on a console. Also, it could have the 3D battles in addition to the main story (like Colosseum) and I would be ever-so-grateful if you could actually catch wild Pokemon in more than 3 spots. You could even have Pokemon from previous generations exclusive to your Wii U game so that people would be more likely to buy it.

You could also have Gen 5 transfer to your new Wii U game so I wouldn't have to pay for the PokeBank.

---------------

Just a side-rant here: I was severely disappointed with Gen 6. The Pokemon Mega-Evolution concept is great, except that there are only a select few Pokemon that have the Mega-Evolution, severely limiting team-building. The Fairy type severely upset the type balances that have worked for generations, there were nerfs to Dark and Fighting types that were unneeded, and a lot of Pokemon got retyped that made them have more advantages or disadvantages (Garevoir is no longer weak to Dark, Jiggs is no longer weak to Fighting but is now weak to Poison and Steel, etc.) There was no full 3D in the game nor was there flawless 3D in the few places they decided to include it. For instance, whenever you turn 3D on in a fight with two mid-large characters (I noticed this with a Pidgeot VS as Snorlax), the game itself lags noticeably and the framerate drops down in the teens.

Also, the transfer system from a previous game to a current game now costs money and I expected to get at least the basic features of the series (you have been able to transfer Pokemon between generations since Gen 2) along with the $40 I paid for the game, but it now costs money for a subscription in order to transfer your Pokemon from your Gen 5 game to your Gen 6 game. Before anyone contests this point with the fact you can't transfer from Gen 2 to Gen 3, that was because they didn't want any Pokemon affected by the Johto Guard Glitch in any of their later generations. Lastly, there was a horrible lack of endgame things-to-do after you beat the game. I played X through completion last Christmas, then I put it down and haven't picked it up since.

GC Virtual Console; it seriously ticks me off that we got the Wii VC before the GC, you can play Wii games on your Wii U anyways just by popping in the disc, but not GC games! Give me Virtual GC games!

GC games with an HD remake; Wind Waker HD gives me hope that some other games from the system can get the same treatment like Mario Sunshine, Luigi's Mansion, Pikmin 1, Mario Kart: Double-Dash, or F-Zero GX.

A new F-Zero game for Wii U; it's time for one of the best high-speed racing games to make it's return.

Two new Metroid games, one for each current Nintendo console; there hasn't been a true Metroid game since Zero Mission in 2004, it's been 11 years, it's time for a real 2D Metroid. But on another note, I would like a new Metroid with Other M's mechanics and and the Gamepad/Pro Controllers layout. So why not have both, 2.5D true Metroid for 3DS and Other M styled game fore Wii U. (Side note, I want a new Metroid Prime: Pinball based off all three Prime games.)

Actually, the last true Metroid game was Other M. Before that, all of the Prime games are true Metroid games. If you mean that the 2D Metroids are the only true Metroids, I would disagree because the entire series has transitioned into 3D since Echos. That would be like saying all of the console LoZ games since OoT haven't been 'true Zelda games'.

On a seperate note, I'm kinda mad that the Japan VC gets more games than we do in NTSC (and usually PAL gets our leftovers). An example is as I was double-checking that Zero Mission came out before Echos, I saw that Japan got Zero Mission and nobody else did.

EDIT: Wow, I seem to be unintentionally turning this into What Has Nintendo Done to Upset You?

Perhaps 'a true Metroid game' was horrid wording, but you get what I mean, it's been forever since we had a more classical Metroid. While Other: M is more mechanically similar to the 2D games then the Primes, it feels more like Ninja Gaiden-esque beat' em up (Team Ninja, I know) than a classical Metroid-Vania. That's why I suggested both styles, one for Wii U and one for 3DS. But I get where you're coming from, and you make a very valid point, no game in the series should really be dismissed as untrue to the franchise.

Generations is pretty excellent and a good mix of 2D and SA2-esque 3D.

Give me Metroid, F-Zero, and Custom Robo. Those are the only Nintendo franchises I truly give a **** about.

Xenosaga HD Collection. There's rumors that it's happening, but I sort of want the original team to help out. I don't want a simple remaster, I want some added features too. If it's on any other console, then that probably means Monolith Soft can't get involved. On the other hand, releasing a Xenosaga HD Collection for the Wii U only sounds like a bad business decision lol

Unfortunately, you're entirely right. Outside of the internet, I can count the amount of people I know who would be interested in that on one hand. And that's one person. Me.

Yeah, it's a shame that will probably never happen.

As for me, I wouldn't mind seeing an HD Fire Emblem game. SMTxFE is close, but I hear it's going to be an RPG, not a strategy game. Also, if Nintendo ever made a fourth Golden Sun game I would rather it be on a console than a handheld. This is primarily a personal preference thing, since I really don't like playing games on handhelds. Not to mention that I'm very nostalgic for SNES/PS1 era RPGs and I feel like with a fourth GS game you could finally bring that experience back to consoles. BUT IN GLORIOUS 16:9 60FPS HIGH DEFINITION!

I want Rare games to be happening again on Nintendo consoles. Microsoft should release their grip on this company of game creating masterminds and let them produce more kick-ass jump'n runs that even beat Nintendo's. Especially Jet Force Gemini U should happen, that makes good use of the now more capable hardware to deliver an immersive third person shooter in which you explore the galaxy and rescue little teddy bear people.

Think about it. If MK8 was to ever release a 3rd DLC pack with new crossover characters, Fire Emblem is the one I'd most want by far. Sticking with the 3 characters normally done in these, we could see Marth, Chrom (or new If character), and King Boo (or something else to rebuild some of the hole they dug themselves with this terrible roster).

I'll have others as they come to me.

Gameboy advance & ds games in the eshop (for all 3ds), gamecube games in eshop (for new 3ds), and a new Mother game, or all 3 previous Mother games in eshop (for all 3ds). The gamecube games for the new 3ds I want to happen because the new 3ds can handle it! a gamecube game size is 1.8gb and ssb3ds is 2.5gb, and the new 3ds has the 'Z' buttons and the Cstick. I am willing to pay for a new 3ds if we get gamecube games on eshop. I want melee and sonic adventure. (there should be a wireless multiplayer feature too.)

New IPs. Don't get me wrong, I like older series, but I'm craving new stuff; things I haven't seen before in games. I'm losing my fondness of video games because all we get these days are sequels, new IPs are just left in the dust or just cancelled. I want to see how companies can truly handle the hardware of the 3DS or Wii U. I want to see another The World Ends with You type deal: Something new and original that uses nearly every feature of the hardware running it.

One of my all-time favorite Nintendo games is Wave Race 64. I'd love for Nintendo to announce a Wii U sequel that runs at 1080p and includes on-line multiplayer and leaderboards.

Let's see:

F-Zero on either Wii U or 3DS - Its been far too long since the last F-Zero game.
Wave Race - Again just like F-Zero, its been far too long since they had a game back on the Gamecube.
Super Smash Kart - Perhaps something like Mario Kart but with Nintendo all star characters and Nintendo based courses?
A new Kid Icarus game - I would like to see them make a sequel on Uprising.
New IP - We've already seen Splatoon as a promising new IP and I am interested to see what new ideas Nintendo can develop on new IPs.

New Metroid (I prefer a Prime-esqe version). Bring a good Castlevania to the console. Something similar to SotN with updated graphics. I also think I am ready for a new console version of Animal Crossing.

Oh you know, new Metroid Game, new F-Zero game, new Earthbound game and of course, new Star Fox oh wait, that was announced (I'm so used to asking for a new Star Fox game even after the announcement xD). Oh and the sooner we get Gamecube games on our Nintendo eShop, the better. Am I the only one who would like to see HD sequels/remakes of old Nintendo games (Duck Hunt, Ice Climber, *Balloon Fight*)? Anyone? Balloon Fight?.......

New F-Zero.

I asked for a new Pikmin for years and finally got it on Wii U. Maybe I'll get my F-Zero as well?

Golden Sun 4 - The ending of the third game left so many unanswered questions. Plus it would be a great reason for Isaac to be in Smash :p

MGS: Twin Snakes 3D/U - We already got MGS3 remake on the 3DS, so there really should be one of a game that was on a Nintendo system already. (HD remake on the Wii U would be great)

F-Zero 3D/U - Because it needs to happen. I WANNA GO FAST!

Paper Mario - Right the wrongs of Sticker Star and make one in the style of TTYD.

Mario Golf/Tennis - Yes there have been a few of these, but there needs to be one like the Advance games were.

I made this a few months ago.
A new 3DS port of Dark Souls would be AWESOME. Dark Souls is currently the only favorite series of mine that I can't play on the go. This would remedy that.

Plus it would give me hope for a Dark Souls character in Smash.
