What do you guys think? Needle cancling>platform/land dashing

I've been messing around with needle canceling> platform/land dashing recently.Just wondering what you guys think about it as a mindgame/strategy.I think its pretty good to keep your opponent guessing.I like the way it gives you a few changeable options whether you want to stay defensive or offensive.

ya, i use this all the time in many different variations. my favorite is sh reverse needle like you are about to shffl a bair but yu realize it will be spaced so you waveland back and create a circle jump type of effect, then you can usually grab their whiffed grab attempt or otherwise. or sh needle cancel then waveland forward into a tilt.

the thing is doing a rising needle cancel lowers your shorthop slighty so its technically always pretty useful in speeding up your air to ground game and such

Yeah that circle effect! What I sometimes like to do is

Land dash off a platform then start charging needles.With this you can do so many things such as.

Release the needles cancelling lag on your landing and then JC grab you opponent.

Use reverse needles cancel> bair.

Or you can cancel the needles> jump>platform dash again>repeat as necessary.

hmm, it would have to be a high platform to have the time to needle cancel on the way down, dreamland should be easy enough. but i dont see why not, ive reverse needled off of platforms on battlefield and yoshis for the edgehog

but really reverse needles are very versatile and useful in a ton of situations. i saw this brazilian sheik combo video "ame no ryota" and he does some cool stuff with reverse needles. like combo into a fair off the edge reverse needle on the way down to set up for a bair at the bottom of the level.
