What Do We Call the New Smash Bros Titles?

I'm truly sorry if this has already come up (I'm sure it has), but how does everyone plan on abbreviating the newest Smash titles for the Wii U and 3DS? Melee (SSBM) and Brawl (SSBB) are pretty easy to short hand, but I haven't seen one abbreviation stick for the upcoming titles.

Smash4? SBU? SB3DS?

That being said, do you think Nintendo will alter the names in any way? Like, add an actual word to the end instead of just "for Wii U" and "for 3DS" before launch? I really hope they will, but who knows.

I believe they already said that these names are the final names for the games so I doubt they are changing them any time soon.

In short, I've seen most people refer to both as just SSB4.
I guess individually we can just give them the abbreviation of SSBU and SSB3D.

Or just Smash 4, Smash U and Smash 3D and all.

Like them.. I too just call it Smash or Smash 4.. I'm sure everyone after a while will just refer to both as just Smash Bros. .. because when you think about it.. if you were talking about Brawl you'd say Brawl.. same goes with Melee.. and for the 64 version.. you'd just say smash 64.. but I'm sure that won't come up as often.

I just simply call it "SSB4". I bet I might differentiate the two versions with "SSBU" and "SSB3D" later down the road. But for now, I'm calling it "SSB4."

That makes sense because the 3ds can show 3d models and effects. Universe for wii u cause it has everything

Now that I think about it, Sakurai should have just did what Kosuke did with Mario Kart 7 and 8.

He should have just called it Super Smash Bros 4.

That said, I'll just refer to it as Smash 4 until release. Once a new Smash Bros. releases, me and my friends usually just end up saying "hey let's play Smash Bros." instead of "hey let's play melee/brawl"

I've always said SSB4 or Smash 4, but when the final games come out, I'm betting on SSBU and SSB3D, as stated above.

I say Smash 4. But for the games separately, I say Smash U & Smash 3D. Super Smash Bros. for Wii U & Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS is too lengthy to me.

Between my friends we call Super Smash Brothers Melee as just Melee and Super Smash Brothers Brawl as Brawl, so we are just going to call this one Smash for the time being

I think we'll just call it 'Smash' or 'Smash Bros'

Like in casual speak it'll go like this:
"Hey, you going to the Smash Bros Tourney?"
"Wanna play Smash at my house?"
"Let's play Smash!"

And so on, it makes sense. It's been over 10 years since people would have said Smash, because we've been acustomed to calling it Melee or Brawl.
