What brawl has done to me....

I dont understand why Nintendo made brawl so gay. It's not like they wouldve lost anything in making the game appealable to the competetive smash community. They couldve made it appealable to both competitive and casual gamers, they succeeded in doing that in melee (and SSB64), so whats the problem?

Look back at smash64, then melee, then brawl. They were all made for the same purpose; party games.

Melee was not made with the intent of "being competitive". No smash ever was.

Now dont get me wrong, im not hopping on brawl's nuts because of that (actually, quite contrary, it makes no sense how brawl works).

But people are so quick to slam brawl for what it is but seem to forget that no smash was made with the stage of EVO or SBO in mind.

yeah i guess i can see it that way. they were originally made for free for all. and not one v one 4 stock 8 min. It would have been cool though if they did have evo and mlg in mind. We all agree on that much

We all know that SSB64 and Melee weren`t intentionally made to be competitive, but it happened. They could have just done the same thing with Brawl and made it a party game, but not intentionally rooted out the competitive aspects.
