I was seriously just about to make this thread.

Moderation is supposed to be there for the benefit of the people who use the forum. The point of the social room is for people to make random threads about things without cluttering up the tournament board. Keeping those two facts in mind I don't really understand the need to close either of those threads.

Personally, I understand closing the Plan 9 callout thread, although I doubt anyone took that very seriously (even Hidden Genius himself).

That's because tracking down violations is not part of their job. We mark the messages/topics in question, and moderators review it and take action.

For years we've been spamming the **** out of the regional forums with whatever we want.

It's not as if we're a big ****ing growing community. It's pretty much as is.

You want to check out tournaments and all the serious business? Well swf made a section just for that ****.

This section is the SOCIAL section. Think about what you do when you socialize IN REAL LIFE, then apply it to this forum.

Then throw in this question; What is tasteful? No one really ****ing cares, just as long as it falls within the realms of normalcy based on general social perceptions. I won't name any cause we're not all ****ing stupid infants here.

The point is, unless a thread is OBVIOUSLY offending someone, let it the **** go. And if it offends a mod because your forum looks messy, you can suck a ****ing ****.

I really don't know what I'm typing actually.

EDIT: If this post was structured, holy ****ing ****. Sheridan would make the best mod here by far. REGARDLESS of what the "higher ups" preconceived notion of a,(EDIT WITHIN AN EDIT) "good mod" is.
