It seems like when people think of 3rd party characters they immediately jump to Sonic or Megaman, which is fine. However, wouldn't it be kinda cool to throw in a Street Fighter or 2? I mean they've already shown that they can stand up pretty well in cross-over games (Marvel vs Capcom, X-Men vs. Street Fighter, etc.) and they've been rendered in 3-D before, albeit poorly, in the Street Fighter EX series. Also they're already from a fighting series, so mapping their moves would probably not be too difficult. For example with Ryu: B - Hadouken, left/right+B - Shakunetsu Hadouken, down+B - Hurricane Kick, & up+B -Dragon Punch. Let me know what you think, but as for me the more 3rd party's from Capcom, the better.

Street Fighter was an important game that happened to be on Nintendo systems not an important game to Nintendo.

Unlike Megaman it didnt really prosper on home consoles but more in arcades and its legacy is there because of its importance to arcade gaming and to fighting games in generall with its use of combos, animations, interesting characters/story etc.

Characters like Bomberman, Black Mage, Pacman and Sonic all have crossovers with nintendo characters so their chances are considered where as Mega Man's games did at lot for nintendo selling like dynamite on the NES and SNES (although so did Street Fighter II so thers an argument in favour there).

Although if i had to choose i'd pick Zangief.

And if Sakurai said tommorow that Ryu or Ken etc was in Brawl id hardly be angry.

Ryu is overrated anyway. If we would be going to have a street figher third party character in Brawl, I'd have to pick Q. (He even has an actual spike in ssf3, thats hilarious)

How about some statistics fellas! Does anybody know what place Ryu got in Sakurai's Poll or was he even on Sakurai's Poll?

Not a likely character to get in, but I would wanna see Akuma/Gouki in Brawl.

street fighter while a interesting idea realy has no chance of getting in in my opinion, they are mainly arcade fighters and probably will stay that way. I just dont see them getting in in any way.

Personally, I don't think any Street Fighter characters belong in brawl. Don't get me wrong, I love SF just as much as the next guy (Ryu is my man), but Street Fighter is it's own franchise. I would rather see some characters who have never been in a fighting game (Ridley, Dedede) or we just have not seen in many years (Geno, Simon) than somebody like Ryu who we pretty much see every year in some kind of fighting game.

Street fighter characters probably have a low chance, but when you think about it the move sets are already pretty much there and u can't say its impossible. Now when i think "O maybe street fighter" could be in the game i then think "Wow maybe samurai showdown characters or Guity Gear?" I don't think sakurai should be limiting nintendo to 3 third party characters id be so happy to see at least 6 cause that coudl fufill all the fans wants.

Oh oh oh, or maybe a Ryu spin off from somethin like SNK. Either Kyo or Ryo. They're so tight!

It would be cool to have SF in Brawl, but it's not likely. The only crossover Street Fighter had with Nintendo is in a German Mario comic in which Mario fought 6 of the original 8 Street Fighters. (He didn't fight Ryu or Guile) Thats only a comic though, and it was in Germany, so sorry. Still want Megaman and/or Sonic.

Could happen... although Midway and Mortal Kombat "seem" more likely then Street Fighter because of Midway's support and love for Gamecube and Wii.

Says the guy who wants Phoenix Wright in the game.
Too bad, cause Snake's in it and possibly 1 or 2 more.

Naw, man. I'm gonna have to pass on that. I despise the idea of 3rd party additions, but not Street Fighter, for sure. Megaman, sure, but not any Street Fighter character.

No street fighter, no mortal kombat. They have their own fighting games, they don't need to invade this one.

I'd be glad if they were in but I'm not holding my breath for them. If any were to get in, It'd be Ryu, Ken, or Chun-Li with Ryu being the most likely.

Street Fighter is good and all, but as much as I hate to say it they won't be getting into Brawl, but the whole idea of them in would be cool

Street Fighters, eh. . . Street Fighter series would be sort of nice in Brawl. I could see Alex v. DK easily. Or Ibuki v. Zelda. Maybe Akuma v. Gannondorf and/or Guile v. Captain Falcon. But the controls would restrict "traditional" combo process when using SF characters, for me anyway. If Brawl included SF characters, it'd be the Ultimate Crossover Beat 'Em Up Series EVER! Unless they decide to Cross Guilty Gear and Mortal Kombat.

Well I guess you can say that about Snake's games too.

Good thing you don't get to pick.

Wtf? You'd pick Q? Everyone knows that when people say how great Street Fighter was, they're really talking about Street Fighter 2. Wtf would they use Q to represent Street Fighter? And Q has never been on a Nintendo console, so FU Q!

Snake was in DreamMix TV World Fighters, and Link was in Soul Calibur II.

I think characters from other fighting games shouldn't really come to the Brawl roster, it would be nothing new since they would obviously have the moveset they have in their original game, plus capcom has way better reps, even Viewtiful Joe would come before Street Fighter. They're too anime anyway.

An interesting concept - I'm sure that there would be several people who would main Ryu or Ken if they made it into Brawl. But it just doesn't seem too likely.

Okay: I just have one title, and one character to mention, and that's all.
Pocket Fighters.
Sakura Kasugano.
