Step it up, son.

Since Brawl's release, Midwest/East Coast together have held three big Melee tourneys, with two more coming within the next few months.

so this thread doesnt really help anything. If you are planing on doing a national tourney get some information first and then post about it. As of now it just looks like you are complaining that there aren't any national tourneys on WC. ill leave the thread open for a day or so for you to change it to something worth while.

i'd love some large scale melee tourneys

although these local ones aren't half bad either, at least for someone jus starting to play competitively

nah, you just have had more tools handed to you so success is easier to achieve

it's dumb to judge people's ability based on random factors like that. i don't think connor is good for a 14-year-old, i think he's good, period. there's no such thing as good for your age or good for the time you've been playing. don't be in such a rush to pat yourself on your back, there's always someone doing better than you

yeah, and i have passed quite a few of the people that were doing better than me

i know i have far to go, but i dont think it's impossible anymore (the other san pablo smashers almost made me quit when they were taking turns 4 stocking me)

its easier to be good the later u get into the game IMO.

you'll pretty much have the metagame at its best (or the best at that current time) right infront of you. you don't really have to think about it too much, the ways to win are pretty much there for the taking.

it's just pretty much learning how to use them that makes getting good hard.

that and progressing faster then the overall community.
