We're leaning towards a less projectile-campy smash.

The only character I can really comment on is WFT. Sun Salutation is great. Has a great angel, travels pretty fast, and charged up it can actually kill. The Soccer Ball though? Lol no. That thing is a minor harassment at best. Here's hoping that it will get a better with a customizable move.

I'unno, it was a pretty good defensive move in the Invitational. Maybe only because the other players were being idiots and kept letting her power up, but it still got her pretty far.

She would have been better off spamming Sun Salutation instead of the Soccer Ball. And most of the time the move never even did anything for her. She didn't get far in the invitational because of that move. She get far because she avoided confrontation and the other players didn't really confront her that much. The move was only a harassment, and it can't be charged up.

Classified.
I've noticed this nerf on projectiles as well, however I don't think it will destroy camping utterly. There will still be campy players, but camping probably won't be as effective. In Melee, you have the option to play campy (and some players do), however playing agressive can also be very rewarding (since a character transfers momentum to their jumps and thanks to wavedashing), especially if you catch someone in the middle of the animation to fire the projectile.''

The differnce between Melee and Brawl is that in Brawl it is waaaay more rewarding to play campy and next to impossible to play a proper agressive style, so Brawl became, and still is; campy.

We can only hope that Smash 4 leans towards more towards Melee than Brawl when it comes to different playstyles. By looks of it; it does. So that's a good thing!

Exactly. Take Metaknight for example - No projectile, but he was able to air-camp the **** out of most characters.

Elements of camping and melee combat intertwined in a single moveset is more interesting than a moveset with only one or the other.
