A piece I was asked to do by my RPG group's DM. It was pretty fun, though doing character concept art is starting to get boring, I hope I get commissioned to do something soon with perspective and fully detailed backgrounds :D

New piece I did for my girlfriend, from the alan moore comic 'Promethea'
Was extremely hard, and took forever. Umm, middle to ptometheas face has an awekward skew, pisses me off, but I decided to say I was finished. Let me know what you think

Nice. I admire people who can excel at medieval fantasy. Always thought it was a difficult looking genre to create concepts for.

How long did it actually take to think of/complete this on paper? I'm curious about what it's going to be used for, I assume it's like a DnD sort of thing.

I don't think I could ever get bored with seeing other people's character concepts lol. I know you said you were getting bored with it but I'm looking forward to more stuff from you anyway, character or environment-wise.

Neon Ness ♥♥♥ Thank you for the compliments.

And yeah it is for DnD :p. Well, the DM had the idea roughed ( he knew he was going to be about 7 1/2 tall, have a ******* sword for creatures one size category larger than he was, and he was going to be barbarian esque ). I did a concept for his stone mask/hood as he mentioned he wanted a mask/veil of some sort, I got lucky and the first concept he loved.

As for the actual piece from concept thumbnails/poses to this I actually got lucky once again. I did 3 or four thumbnails and actually ended up using the first one because I thought he had the most powerful pose. I decided not to make the pose TOO dynamic or use forshortening because I didn't want to hide/clutter any of his costume ( since it was concept art afterall haha ). Um, I work stupidly slow on the actual piece which I am working on fixing. I took maybe a week dragging my *** between working full time, and hitting the gym 4 times a week. I also john that I have a new girlfriend which eats up my time ( no complaints! ).

Over all though I'd say maybe 5 hours straight on just the big guy, and only an hour or two on both the old man and background castle. so 7 and a half hours all together. Need to quicken the pace, haha.

Once again, thank you sooo much for your kind words ♥

Maaaan WEMP, everytime I see your work I realize how much I need to practice perspective/anatomy LOL. Seriously.

I'm not an expert on foreshortening by any means, but something about Wolverine's left leg seems lacking. Like it's significantly smaller than the other leg, or maybe I feel like we should see a bit of the foot or something. I dunno though, it's possible your measurements are sound and I just can't tell since I lack knowledge on perspective. It's not a big deal anyhow but maybe something to keep in mind for the future. I like the angle of the composition though.

Glad to hear people are commissioning you for art, you've got talent and more importantly are willing to put in the work hours. Keep it up!

Nah man, I TOTALLY agree about a foot being needed somewhere, i toyed with it for hoursssss, and just couldn't decide on what to do, so left it alone.

As always man, thanks for the compliments, hoping to get more commissions, and just want to keep on working towards being a published comic artist, haha.

I am thinking about digitally inking some of my stuff sometime, I do have inks in mind when I draw these since I am a (hopefully ) future comic artist, my favorite artists use dynamic shading, so i have to since I am not original, hahaha.

but yeah, maybe if I get some free time soon I will ink something :3

If you wrote a really morbid, gritty, semi-grotesque dark humor comic with the creepy distorted style you do, I'd totally read it.
Just saying

ooooooh yeah, haha. I really enjoy doing what one of my best friend calls "morbid realism", aside from the batman i don't have any other type of that stuff up, haha. I am working on a really cool piece off of the series 'The Haunt' from image comics that is kind of horrorish, but still not the same, haha
