Well, it wasn't so bad, and there's a lot more to come.

I was disappointed last night, but now that I think about it, it's not too bad.

Remember during E3 last year when we got ZERO news about Brawl at the press conference and then BAM, trailer with Solid Snake at the end.

Maybe we'll get something as juicy when the Press Junket starts, or when they update the site tonight.

Plus, that list of composers is effing sweet, and so is that menu remix. I think I will burn a new copy of Smashing Live for my car with the new Battlefield tune included.

The screenshots were also a welcome addition, and it seems we got semi-confirmation of Fire Emblem characters with the search tags (If you haven't heard: the search tags embedded inthe page for search engines include "Fire Emblem").

I guess it's only a few more hours before the next update, and that will continue before launch as opposed to waiting--what was it since Nintendo World?--like seven months from update to update. That is quite a relief.

Also, IGN said they have some Smash news to reveal today too.

So, I wasted a lot of time, as I'm sure others did, obsessing about it this weekend, but it was a farily solid update and there's more to come.

I'm really excited because I was tired last night and read the site wrong. I thought it was weekly updates not weekday updates! That's awesome and I'm okay with the little bit at a time approach. To me and builds up hype without overloading everyone at once.

Yes, I agree. I hope they release a new trailer at the Press Summit today though. We're due for one.

Besides a remix of the menu theme from Melee, there really isn't anything new.

perhaps one bit of info every day...

one day an item, another a stage, another a character... etc

rough rough estimates...
-40 characters
-60 items
-30 stages
- i dont know about game modes... lets say 10

that would mean roughly 140 days... or 4-5 months... a reasonable guess of brawl's release...

as i said, very rough guesses based on absolutely nothing...

Wait, did I miss something? o.o What press junket?

EDIT: Okay stupid me for missing the part about IGN. <.< Still, do we know when the press junket is going to be? Is it going to be in the morning or afternoon in Japan? O.o

@Mars-: Well, a sample of music and the list of the composers were the biggest things they put up. They also put up some new screen shots. Nothing really exciting, though. <.<

So they just added music?
Well not just, but it was the only news per say.

But it also says on the site that it will be updated every weekday.

And one pretty interesting quote: "This time, in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, many stages will undergo elaborate changes during battle."

But anyway.. Yeah, I don't think it's that bad either.
We'll just be surprised continually, instead of once. ;)

OMG!!! Another junk/spam thread.

Yeah, we start to get updates daily/weekly now which is awesome but I think they will continue to update early in the morning like they did for the site launch. :(

Still hoping for two uptilts, 4 shffled up-airs, into a fire palm combo when Sakurai releases the videos of the fights between him and Kojima. (or not)

Yeah, I was at a friend's house last night F5ing until two in the morning. Started throwing flippers into the turnip glitch.

This is the beginning of something big, and I think the press event and Sakurai's second update to the site will coincide with much of the same information. Regardless, this is the beginnning of something great.
