Weird Hitbox/Pivot Edgehog Technique?

I was messing around with the big captain in training trying out different stuff when i did some weird pivot edgehog, but instead of using the turn animation it was a side b (raptor boost ) toward the stage that turned into an edgehog o____O


After playing further i realised this only works when another character is near the edge, and you walk towards them hitting them into the teetering animation and CF does the raptor boost, the animation cuts out and CF edgehogs.

Just wondered if anyone could answer why this happens O__< mad confused, wondered if it could be used to any advantages but i srsly doubt it

If you notice, Falcon steps backwards a bit when he does the raptor boost. In this case, someone was in the way, and so the actual damage-dealing hitbox starts to come out, triggering the uppercut animation. But wait, you take a step back and edgehog instead.

On Pokemon Stadium, during the rock transformation, go all the way to the left, next to the big rock. Raptor boost into the rock, and the same thing will happen.

i did this once against someone's shield. i raptor boosted into a marth's shield and ended up on the ledge, then i ledgehopped kneed and died from it. :laugh:
