This AMA's subject served time as a moderator here and is quite the SEGA and Persona buff. Let's give it up for osby!

Do note that this isn't osby's first time answering questions so I'd highly recommend checking out his AMA from last year just so we don't get a majority of repeat questions. However a good amount of time has passed and some answers may have changed, so repeats aren't completely discouraged either.

As always, all site rules are in effect. Please try and limit yourself to one post containing up to three questions until osby has answered, then you may ask more. Alright, osby , it's showtime!

I'll kick things off:

1. Excluding Smash and Persona, what are some of your favorite video game series?
2. How satisfied are you with the DLC selection for Ultimate so far?
3. What classic SEGA property would you love to see make a comeback the most?

1. If we're speaking of console games, Sonic, Bayonetta, and recently, Devil May Cry. As for arcade games, I've spent way too much time on Super Monkey Ball and The House of the Dead.
2. I'm pretty damn satisfied. I have only a couple of characters I outright dislike, I got two characters I supported (Byleth, Steve) and one I wanted but never thought possible in the form of Joker. Even the fighters I wasn't interested in prior to their reveals have been interesting additions and the amount of content they overall bring is insane. Helps that there have been a good amount of recent additions, something I felt missing from the Ultimate base game. I give it an 8.5/10.
3. A Skies of Arcadia revival would be amazing. Honorable mentions go to Jet Set Radio, NİGHTS, and Crazy Taxi.

1. That's a hard one. I don't think I can pick up a few out of all movies I've seen but Sonic the Hedgehog and The Old Guard were my favorites this year.
2. Bramble Blast, Destroyed Skyworld, Ryu Stage, Midna's Lament, Id (Purpose), Divine Bloodlines, Aria of the Soul, Clockwork Crafter. Ultimate has sooo many good ones, I'm sure I can easily list up to twenty remixes.

Holy ****, I can't believe it's finally here.

Ok, I need to think these three questions well:

How did you become a Sonic fan? Was It the first Sonic Game you ever played? Any of the external media such as cartoons or comics or knowing about the series from a friend?

If you had to choose a favourite Nintendo IP, which one would It be?

We all know that you really like Persona, and I really always wanted to see how would you rank each title in the series.

Wow, that's a lot of questions. I hope I did them justice.

Ok, I need to think these three questions well:

1. I first learned about Sonic from cartoons like 1993 one and Sonic X. I didn't even know he was a video game character back then. AfterI got a PS3, I found Sonic Generations and Sonic Unleashed in a store and immediately bought them lol. One of the best decisions of my life, they are still two of my favorites in the series.
2. Pokemon anime was my childhood. Strictly speaking of games, Super Smash Bros and Fire Emblem.
3. If it's OK for you, I'm only doing the mainline games: P3 Portable > P4 Golden > P3 FES > P5 Royal > P2: Innocent Sin > P2: Eternal Punishment > Persona Revelations

1. is there any characters you'd like to see in Smash for their moveset potential alone?

3. How did you get into Smash in the first place?

1. Never played Nier but from what little I saw of 2B's fighting style is enough for me to want her. Also, Pheonix Wright and Chorus Kids because I love non-fighter fighters.
2. I actually only played their games on third party consoles. If they count, they have great arcade machines, though.
3. I saw Brawl's cover in a store and thought it was the coolest thing ever (I still do). Plus, I recognized Kirby, Meta Knight, and Pikachu from the cartoons and wanted to learn why they are in the same game. Also, Sonic was in so it was a must-buy for me.

1. How would you rank the palaces in Persona 5 Royal?
2. Are you a fan of Shin Megami Tensei, too?
3. Do you know how to cook? If so, what are some of your favorite dishes to make?

1. Laboratory > Pyramid >>>> Cruiser > Casino > Museum > Prison > Castle > Bank >> Spaceport.
2. I have a complicated relationship with it but I loved Apocalypse and Nocturne.
3. I know how to bake? Cakes are my favorite, they're both easy and fun, plus you can make them either sweet or salty. Buns with cheese and jam cookies are relaxing to bake.

4) Favorite RPGs besides the Persona series?

6) Have you heard of the Metropolitan Mutant of Ark?

1. Mostly other ATLUS stuff, tbh. I'm trying to branch out with Fire Emblem and the new Yakuza. As flawed as it's battle system is, I also like Fate/EXTRA.
2. Carmilla, no questions. Go watch it.

1. Aegis. I have strong feelings about that toaster. Also, Yukari is super underrated.

1. Not sure what kind of games you like but if you haven't already, I'd say go and play Hades.
2. I love reading books. As for my favorite, I'll cheat and say The Earthsea Cycle. All six of them, especially The Other Wind. But seriously, pretty much anything Ursula K. Le Guin wrote is among my most-read books.
3. Mythology. It's super interesting to see how wildly different cultures and so many similar themes and tropes in them.

1. Does Hotline Miami counts?
2. They're both good but lately I found myself watching anime over cartoons. I should really start checking out the new Western animations coming out...

1. Triceratops rule and noone can convince me otherwise.

1. (Hello!). The cuisine is amazing and incredibly diverse. I enjoy trying out food from other countries but few can compete. Also, the culture around taking care of stray animals, especially cats. Most people I know regularly give food to them and I think it's lovely.
2. England, because I have a friend who've been there. Japan because I'm a weeb. Greece because it's weird I've travelled there when it's so close. Spain because I loved it when I visited way back then and I want to see more. Also Iceland, I want to experience what it's like to be in that north.
3. Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood but Dorohedoro is up there.

1. I've always thought that Charon is really cool. It's a big boy.

What are you currently watching on streaming services or TV? Or are you just currently awaiting upcoming productions such as Wandavision?

You get a Contact from Hollywood telling you that you have the chance to write the script for a John Constantine or Cyclops movie but you can only choose one production. Which one would you write?

This is a classic one, do you think Sonic would win in a race with Flash?

1) Where do you think 3D Sonic should go next in terms of gameplay? Adventure, Boost, a mix of those two, something entirely new?
2) Who do you think has the best chance of getting in the upcoming Ultimate DLC?
3) To someone who is exclusively a Sonic fan, what other Sega games would you recommend they try out?

1. I'm trying to catch up with Stranger Things. It's really good so far, even if the second season is kinda weak compared to the first one.
2. I'd tell them to find an actually competent writer. Seriously though, a good Constantine movie would be awesome.
3. I'd say no. Sonic can't do most of the ridiculous stuff Flash can do even in his super form.

1. Melee. Its controls simply feel worse compared to later Smash games for me.
2. John Constantine, Kamala Khan, Scarlet Witch, Dream from Sandman
3. It's not everyone's cup of tea but Captain Marvel impressed me in a way that very little superhero movies did.

2. Just for fun. Competitive Smash is just repulsive to me for multiple reasons.
3. Greed, Winry, Hawkeye, Izumi, Darius, Alphonse... it's hard to yhink up a character I don't love.
