I can get the waveshine down on fox, however, i don't when to do it. could a up throw work then start the waveshine , or shield and then waveshine? I played against someone, trying to find out when to use it.

any suggestions?

You could always just run at them and shine > JC USmash/Grab. No movement tricks or anything. Just blast straight at them. Not too often though, just like...once a fight. A nice little trick since you'll keep some of the momentum from your dash if you do it fast enough and the JC will let you hit/grab most characters with that momentum.

Other than that, waveshining any time you use the shine is a must, even if you just WD in place to cancel the shine lag.

I don't think you should be waveshining yet if you can't shffl though. I would definitely get that down first. SHFFLing on opponents and off opponents so you can make sure you get the timing right both ways. Once you get SHFFLing down, start SHFFLing into a waveshine. If you can waveshine out of a SHFFL, you can pretty much waveshine whenever.

Yeah, go ahead, spam. Not like spamming's a bad thing.
And your post wasn't spam? Just so I don't come off as a hypocrite, I'll try my best to contribute something to this thread.

This match may suggest otherwise: http://youtube.com/watch?v=L2U_Qlsv6h4 . I counted ONE
waveshine! All other shines were merely JCed. I agree that waveshining is helpful and important, but it is evidently not as crucial as the JC shine.
