Wavedash was already deconfirmed at E for all, but that looks like a airdodge while falling (airdodges are no longer directional) but I wouldn't really know since I didn't attend E for all.

Hm. . . I can't tell. Wavedash or no? :D
I suggest you read the sticky topic regarding Gimpyfish's Brawl impressions from E4All. Washdashing is gone. Wavelanding, however, may still be in the game and it could be possible that the Wario in that animation is Wavelanding.

Wow, this has been in SO many topics SO long ago.

Wavedashing has also been deconfirmed.
If only I was a mod, if only.

Guys, quit being so mean to him. He's new here, and deserves to be treated like a welcome member of the community.

Yes, I believe that was a "Wavedash." I MEAN WAVELAND! I MEAN MONEY SLIDE! THAT'S IT!

Notice how it looks like he's doing an attack right before that? That's how the Money Slide works. So yes, that is that I believe.

But again, that's an old video, but again, everyone makes a mistake. Even McFox did once.

Wait, no he didn't.

In case of the off-chance your serious, check on YouTube. It's an advanced technique that the pros use.
Oh no, I'm being serious. I played Melee like three times at that was it. And hardly remember playing the 64 game at all.

It's an advanced technique that pros use. It's where you do a short-hop, then immediately directional airdodge into the ground. The end result is you slide across the ground. It's good for spacing, speed, getting off platforms with no landing lag, edgehogging, and as well using ground moves and smash attacks while moving, plus a bunch of other stuff.
Of course, if you've only played melee three times then don't worry about it, learn how to play the rest of the game first before you try and learn how to wavedash.

Visiting from above.
Wario is very clearly running once he hits the ground. It's possible that he air dodges right before hitting the ground, sending up that big puff of smoke. Or perhaps the puff is simply from someone as big as Wario landing at all.

Regardless, wavedashing is definitely out of the game, definitely.
