I apologize in advance if a thread like this exists; searching "wavedash" will inevitably get me many useless threads that support it.

I wholeheartedly believe that the wavedash will no longer exist in Brawl. And when this moment arrives, me and my people will arrive on wi-fi to strike down those who cannot play without it. The wavedash is a glitch, understand? Those who abuse it shall fall with the release of Brawl, and those who forsake it shall rise! *laughs maniacally to close rant.*

(I'm pretty sure I'm insane... :psycho:)

As long ago as this announcement was made you think there wouldn't be a topic like this.

So what if wavedashing is out it still does not give the noobs/casuals any chance vs the hardcore players

Wavedashing is powerful but only in particular situations. As far as I am concerned, since edge-hogging is still in, n00bs will continue to die.

A technique that exists in a game, glitch or not, is evenhanded when it comes to its availability. Regardless of its function or usefulness, when it comes to this game at least, every character, every technique, very tactic can be used by EVERY player. What many inexperienced players don’t realize is that they lose by their choices rather then by any technique in the game. It’s because they put themselves in so many precarious dispositions in the first place that they lose, and no amount of misplacing blame can change that fact.

It doesn’t matter if there is no wavedashing, no l-cacelling, no space animals, no sheik, no peach’s downsmash, no marth, no shuffling or chain grabbing.

Good players will just find the next best technique and use it to their advantage; all of these “unfair glitches” are easily replicable, and will be replaced by new effective techniques.

I get the feeling you’re a bit bitter when it comes to wavedashing, and I would be too if I thought my ineffective game play was because of it. I hate to break into your own little world, and come across aggressive and aggravated, but the reason you lose is because of the way you think. You don’t adapt. You place blame in anything other than your poor decision making. And I’m **** confident in every assumption I’m making about you because your ignorance comes across so transparently in this post.

This is not personal. I hope you realize how flawed your reasoning is, because quite frankly, I’m sick of people writing useless things like this and wasting mine and everyone else’s time.

And it's not a glitch, it's an exploitation of the games physics. You're supposed to slide after landing an air-dodge in a direction.
