Triple post. Whoo.

Free this Sat, so if no one else hosts (and if I get my TV back from repairs >.<) I'll host, though expect to be booted out around 11ish. :urg:

Also, I know Niven's happy with todays update ;)

Not much going on recently? Anyone interested in another smash fest at Oran's place on Saturday 18th? Hopefully more people will rock up, it was a bit sparse last time. Same as last time, there will be some lanning involved later in the night for anyone who wants to bring their PC and bring a sleeping bag if you want to sleep over. Rock up any time after 2pm. Discuss!

We should probably post more about smashfests and so forth back here.

I'll be down for that, though without bringing a comp along. : (

A tournament isn't likely, there's about what, 12 active players? Anyway, if you're in canningvale, you're pretty close to my mate Oran, in Bullcreek. I usually go to his place for smashing as he has a sweet projector/surround sound setup, add me to msn (ShiftyMcSly@hotmail.com) if you're interested in coming over for a few rounds sometime.

What course did you do? And are you going to be there next year too?

While I'm on a roll....

* Before I applied I read somewhere about free laptops, any idea what that's about?
* Is there any type of computing/gaming clubs there like at a couple of the other Uni's?
* Will Rudd actually be better than Howard?

Just thought I'd throw that last one in incase you had a time machine. :)

you ask a lot of questions, my son!

i am doing primary school teaching, and yes, i have one more year to go. i see on your profile that you are a teachers assistant... what school do you work at?

you can apply to loan a laptop from the computer megalab but i assume it is sort of like a scholarship, in that you have to be a top quality student to be given one. so i wouldnt count on being able to get one right from the get go

there may be some clubs like that in ECU, but the mount lawley campus is about as large as ness' grab range (haw haw), it contains mostly drama and dance students, as well as teaching students. the main ECU campus in joondalup has plenty of clubs

rudd will not be better than howard, as his lack of political experience combined with his earwax eating exploits will cause australia to implode

hope that clarifies things!

Herne Hill Primary, it's off Great Northern Highway

If you really do have old books you don't need, I know I wouldn't mind buying em from ya.

I could lie? :p Depending on what they are I might just buy one myself. I'd want one that could at least run Warcraft 3. :)

For school purposes of course.

Well that's kinda handy, had been looking at doing Drama for the bit where you pick what specialisation or whatever.

So we're not chucking kids overboard before we implode, good. :)

herne hill primary huh? is it a nice school? i just finished my month long professional practice at bateman primary school, and had a great time :)

yep you can have any of my text books, $10 a pop doesnt sound too unreasonably to me

drama is a unit that is compulsory, however for specialisation (or electives as they are called), you can choose from things like contemporary drama, history, catholic education, and later on in the course, things like behaviour management and special needs education. so theres some things for you to think about i suppose

It's pretty nice, small though which is quite nice, no real probelm students (except the one I'm TAing, but he's been great, just like the others, though can be upset a bit easier)

I'd probabyl go with the extra drama one, noe of those or the ones I read before really stood out, and I think I've done enough special needs and behavioural mangment in the field already ;)

well, sounds like this course is just perfect for you then! the stuff you learn in the uni course is absolutely NOTHING compared to the practical experience. the trouble for you is, the first years professional practice might bore you a little (you pretty much spend all your time observing without doing anything)

my MSN is on my profile page, so add me if you have any questions... i can also email you my old assignments if you think they'll help, although im not exactly a top student hahah

There was a good amount of players that showed up, mostly noob of course but a lot of enthusiastic players, i mentioned smashboards to a few of them, hopefully perth can see a decent sized community when brawl comes about. If any players were at the event and are interested in meeting up with the regulars, dont feel like you need to be good at smash, we play all sorts of games now with some casual matches on the side, just make yourself known on these boards and we'll let you know when the next meet will be.

Oran is hosting smashies/LANning yet again. For anyone interested, just rock up any time after 2 PM this Sunday. If enough people are interested I'll bring a TV, otherwise it'll just be Oran's projector. Address is 63 Wheatley Drive, Bullcreek.
Ciao.

You're welcome at 10am, if you would like to turn up that early. o_O No earlier, because I wub my sleep. <3 (I have no idea of your definition of "early" since you guys usually rock up to Mandurah some time after 2pm XD)

But really, any time that suits you is fine. <,< I don't want to be responsible for you getting fired on the first day for turning up late to work on Monday. >_<

Just finished a short while ago, although Bringer should have left at 10pm. XD

It was great. We had a Wii set up with GH3, PS3 with Eye of Judgement, 360 with the Orange Box (Portal) and Bioshock and we had the PS2 with GH2.

We finally settled down for some actual smash later at night. X)

Thanks for not making the big smash mess that usually subliminally occurs during the day. =)

I hope you all enjoyed today and had a safe trip home. ^_^
