Vs Samus

I'm having trouble aproaching a good samus in my area, is there any move that clashes with her zair or any good way around it?

how would spaming sidestep do anything but get me killed? Also should i take the lack of response to mean that you cannot clash with her zair?

Sorry, I'm a noob, i thought their were only 5 air attacks; Fair, Bair, Uair, Dair and Nair. What the hell is a Zair?

Midair auto-cancelling grapple attack. (Default on GC controllers: Z button, but can be done out of air dodges)

Samus' z-air has really long range + a sweetspot that has higher knockback.
Link's z-air has multiple hits.

Yes, zair really pisses people off and is highly underused due to the fact that most people don't know that its an attack or that it is actually really good. But to answer your question, I'm pretty sure there's nothing that will clash with it in the air, but a quick turtlr might do the trick. If not, wait till she can hit you, and quickly pop up with an up-b and key/fair/nair/dair.

Never had to face someone that uses zattacks. I guess just try to come in from above and stay close.

Crouching can make you hard to hit by Samus's Z-air.

Also stay above or below her I guess. Especially below her. However being above her isn't that bad since Samus has trouble killing vertically.

Also, maybe use Chef to stop missiles and discourage her from approaching you with Z-airs?

zair out reaches chef and if she has platforms to hide under its extreamly hard to fish her out. Samus is content on building damage on me till im at 200% while keeping me away. Bairs just get me a grapple in the face unless i can get in but thats the whole problem.
Zair is super spamable and has got to be one of the best spacing moves in the game.
