Sakurai's never really done that. If they are an Assist, he'll show them as an Assist.Well he could be still. Just being shown as a trophy won't stop him from being an assist.

Not ready yet? The game is still in development. I also recall a few assists had to be unlocked.Sakurai's never really done that. If they are an Assist, he'll show them as an Assist.
I understand that this is off topic but I like your classic Capcom style Little Mac avatar.Sorry mate..we are not going to get a W101 Stage
Relevant ^ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kWdfRRtAs3oDiplomacy has failed!
I'm saying he wouldn't have shown him as just a trophy if he had more planned for him. If Wonder Red wasn't finished as an Assist Trophy then he wouldn't have shown us anything at all.Not ready yet? The game is still in development. I also recall a few assists had to be unlocked.
Certainly not "too new" franchises that debuted in or after 2012, the year SSB4 development started. I believe that's why Dillon and Wonder Red are not playable in SSB4.Oh man, 2 of my most wanted/expected characters disconfirmed in less than a week. I really thought Dillon and Wonder Red had chances to be inthe game.
I just wanna know...WHO THE HELL IS GETTING IN, THEN?!
Well, with Sakurai we can never be sure, but I know I won't be desappointed
Seems like Smash Bros is more keeping pace with newer games now. It used to be that most of their characters and stages came from a game on a previous system (Melee's from 64, Brawl's from GameCube, etc.)Certainly not "too new" franchises that debuted in or after 2012, the year SSB4 development started. "Too new" characters from long established franchises can still get in... case in point Greninja. That's because Pokemon already established itself as a successful and popular franchise. Oh, and Roy in Melee, even though his game wasn't even out at the time. But hey, Fire Emblem was already popular and successful in Japan since 1990.
I believe this is why we didn't get Pikmin and Animal Crossing characters in Melee. In 2001, they were "too new" franchises that hadn't earned the privilege of having playable characters in Smash just yet.
shes still 3rd party this does not increase her chances at allYeah... And now Bayonetta has good chances now... Still holding out for him to be an assist trophy...
The people on Miiverse aren't exactly... bright, lets say?Everyone on Miiverse thinks he'll be playable now... I mean what
Don't come in here just to be condescending.Sweet another character I've never heard of is out of the running to be playable
Quit being a jerk.Sweet another character I've never heard of is out of the running to be playable
As someone else said....No no no no no no if people are allowed to say that Ridley still might be more than just a stage hazard/boss then I get to say that Wonder Red might be more than just a trophy
So, really, he's nothing more than a trophy. Something for all of us to gaze and think about what could've been. I feel bad for all the people who supported Wonder Red. I didn't myself, but I could see an interesting moveset from him.Doubting his role as an assist trophy, like I said before his model seems to be ported from Wonderful 101. If was going to play a role into the gameplay in some way, they would have made a new model for him at the very least.
It's not. Check the OP.As much as I wanted him, I feel like it's hard to make a moveset without the other 100 Wonderful Ones.
That was my original thought too, but apparently W101 is a Nintendo IP (and in all honest, probably would've 'fit' better in Smash).Honestly? I Always thought Bayonetta had higer grounds due Nintendo efforts with her.
It's happened before. Melee had trophies for Animal Crossing, Pikmin and Luigi's Mansion.Yeah... And now Bayonetta has good chances now... Still holding out for him to be an assist trophy...
Prepare for the deconfirmations.Kill characters that they will not use in the game now is a Clever decision. If they cut our hopes now, we won't complain in the launch.
