Here you guys go, I know I critique a lot of Luigis kind of harshly sometimes. So here you go Luigi boards, we have no videos, so these low quality ones will have to do for now. Hope you enjoy, and more are coming soon. The third match is really bad on my part actually, so don't take that as a reading of my skill ^_^ More are coming, and as you can see, playing against a campy zelda is incredably hard as Luigi. EEk.

Ya post em, this board needs all the videos it can get. Unless they're completely unviewable, i'll look at them.

Hey dummy, you don't sell a product BEFORE you get it. Get the videos, then talk about them.

Second one is uploading right now. They are taking awhile, not sure why.
I like how you use nair to cancel out Din's Fire, i'm mad i never thought of doing something that obvious before. You have lots of chances for jab grabs for free damage that you neglect in favor of the jabjabjab combo. I'm not saying its a bad thing, but there were chances to use the jab grab to set up some nice aerial assaults.

All in all, good matches, glad to see people using fireball setups.

Good to see someone using the ftilt as a major part of their game. Lmao at Pyle calling Zelda a b****.

I found it hilarious when you said "STOP going through my ****ING airdodges!!!"

Anyway, wow LuigiKing, your Luigi plays a lot like mine. I tend to grab less... A lot less... And I use B-Air and N-Air a lot more than F-Air. If only I could get some videos up.

You play a good Luigi. It's good too see a critic who actually KNOWS what he's talking about.

That Zelda used a little too much Din's. Using Din's from a standing position is never a good thing when your opponent is that close. Good job though, Zelda is a very tough matchup for Luigi, I myself counterpick Zelda against Luigi's

Eh. I didn't like your Luigi that much (that's just me silly opinon), First off, your abit too heavy on the jabs. Kinda abit too much on dash attack. You need moar jab cancels, being more careful on the attacks and recovery.

But what i learned something very viable though. The Dair to fireball is nice approach and setup. I'm going to invest that in my game. Also very good use of fireball setups. Your really good at approaching controlling with the fireball

(those were just from first vid)

edit: second vid

You need to sweetspot the edge with green missle. You need to work on ledgehop attacks. You seem to rush in alot and get punished quickly for your mistakes. Try ledgehoping to tornado, works and catchs alot offguard.

what i liked is the controlling bairs. Nicely spaced and also nice Nair-ing through Din's fire. Never thought of that lol.

Hmm, most of the dash attacks were supposed to be DACs, but I haven't got the timing down right, and since these are just friendlies decided to give it a shot from here to there. I also would like to say that playing against a Zelda is not a good reading of how a Luigi should play against 90% of the cast. Plus, this Zelda knows how much I like to juggle in the air, and has gotten really good at avoiding it, simply because we are each others only competition. A lot of what people are complaining about I implemented in the later videos once I got more serious and used to the matchup again (more jabgrab, ->b to ledge, less wasted dash attacks). Even if some of these aren't my best, hopefully you guys could glean SOMETHING useful, since its so dead around here.

You don't really need DACs. It's the same thing as hyphen smashing anyways. I'd post these in the video thread although it seems like it doesn't get updated offten. And I think someone volunteer'd to do a new video thread ( think it was Vist?) but with the board being so dead -_-.

Dair to fireball is too sexy

Even if he wanted to DAC, the dash attacks worked well where they were used. I use them to push my enemy off the stage. From there, I jump off and do a bair to stage spike them (works especially well on FD). Dash attack can be useful if used liberally and intelligently.

Nice SH approaches. Great use of fSmash. Excellent spacing. nAir Din's Fire... brilliant.

Too much Dash Attack. I know you're trying to improve your DACUS, but if you can just stick with Hyphen Smashing. I use Wiimote+Nunchuck so I can't do (and haven't been able to do) charged DACUSes, but from what I've seen Hyphen Smashes get just as much range and are easier to pull off. If you can perfect the DACUS and you see an improvement over Hyphens, more power to you. But if neither happens, stick with Hyphen Smashing.

Needs more Jab Grabs. In fact, needs more Grabs in general. ALiAs is right, there were a lot of times when you could have Jab Grabbed instead of Tripple Jabs, and it would have racked up more damage. Tripple Jabs just put space between you and Zelda, and you had to approach all over again. A Jab Grab would have let you put her in the air where Luigi really shines (giving you more chances to do those 40%+ damage strings you pulled off).

And you need to get past her Din's Fire WOP. Pyle doesn't give you chances to use your Green Missile, let alone Sweetspot with it. When you get knocked off, either Jump to Rising Luigi Cyclone so you can Spot Dodge or nAir her Din's Fire, or Green Missile into her next Din's Fire and then quickly do uncharged Green Missiles till you're way below the stage where it's safer to recover if hit by another.

Have a sexy time.

Hope a n00b's opinion is welcome here.

You're rather good, though you performed best on the first match.
I have to agree, you really need to grab some more. Lots of missed opportunities in the second match.
Jab grab isn't really necessary there, though.
Nice use of dash attack, in my opinion. One too many, at some times, but pretty nice timing.

And I've now learnt a new technique from those vids, so thanks there! Keep posting vids.
