hmm..

I want to believe this.... but I have a gut feeling that this is fake.

Its not enough to see a short video of a menu that is possibly reproducible (though if this is fake, I admire his work). I find it strange that he only shows the menus and not gameplay.

So ya, ill wait for gameplay before i believe this.

I haven't really payed attention to the rumor, but here are my thoughts.

The Profile says the person's name is Ikki.
"Ikki" has a description in English saying he holds Smash Tournaments
Ikki also has a number of tournament videos.

So either.
1)It is Ikki and he has brawl
2)It's Ikki and he's pulling our legs
3)It's a poser
4) There are multiple "Ikki"s that hold tournaments called "ketubato"

If he claims Mewtwo is in it is fake. M2 was deconfirmed by the videos confirm Jigg, Lucario, and Ness.

Sorry if this has been mentioned but the lag is bad.

Incorrect. It just means he is not playable in SSE.
If the character is playable they will be playable in SSE...

Such as: You unlock Falco through 100 man melee but you still can play him in Adventure/Classic/Allstar.

Well, that is if you have ever played Melee and not just staretd with brawl and claim things..

Wait Wait... Ikki?

Didn't Gympifish said some Ikki would have the game sooner than everyone?

Hmm..

How come the announcer says "Ready? Fight!"

Doesnt he usually say "Pit vs Link!" then when the game starts "Ready? Fight!"

Of course this couldve been changed.. It just seems weird to me.

Er...
Can anyone even make out WHO is on the roster... I can't see with the quality.

(On another note, my cell only records 10 seconds of footage without a SD card\Memstick, that video looks like cell phone quality , so... )

It's fake. It's so fake.

Not only has everybody pointed out that it is indeed the Melee voice announcing, the quality is extremely low, and of course, the player only records the character selection screen, and the beginning of Classic mode which, incidently, are pictures we've seen before. Sure, we haven't seen the exact screen, but with enough work, you could conjure up a roster.

And, if this is indeed the leaker who took pictures of the game disc and screen, it's apparent he wants to leak info. So, if you had Brawl, and were anxious to show people the secrets, would you, too, only take a close up picture of the disc, and the selection screen? Two things we've seen? It's the obvious way to convince people you have it without showing them things they haven't seen. Until a leaker shows legit proof that he's seen stuff we haven't seen before, I'm calling BS on all of it.

Not to mention, there's all kinds of evidence going against the 35 character theory, in my opinion. Not only has the ROB issue been repeatedly brought up, 35 characters is just over what we already know. Including the "semi confirmed" characters, and characters that are understood by 90% of the population as returning, that leaves like, two spots for new characters. Sakurai said he was going to be careful about not spoiling secret characters. If the rumor is indeed true, he's pretty much spoiled ALL of them. Not only that, but didn't Nintendo say the roster size would be "Immense" or something? I'm not complaining about the roster, because it's already well past Melee's, but in all honesty, I don't believe the 35 rumor one bit.

Yeah, it was in that "Japanese websites" thread.

...is that still here? We should go on his site... Maybe it says something.

Hey uhh... guys, I've stumbled onto something (well, actually, a poster on GameFAQs posted this).

http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=socunai

Profile of the person who supposedly has Brawl and is the one who recorded the video. He doesn't have it uploaded, but, if you read the comment section in his profile below he says that a store in Hong Kong was getting Brawl (the FINAL version) as a demo (ala Super Mario Galaxy) however, they got 10 copies of it and sold them. He apparently was one of those buyers and has said that he recorded some videos HOWEVER, his webcam isn't working/lacks one (don't quite know what he means).

Expect more videos later is all I can say.

Molotov, look at this.

1) Crappy angle and horrible video quality
Debatable, but this is seen with all of the fakes we've seen in the past. Using angles to distort an image is Hollywood's oldest trick.
2) Robotic and choppy movement
Again debatable, but even with the D-pad, you can move in angles. This movement is similar to movements designed on computers because it's easier to move up, down, left, and right than a combination of the two.
3) The "Intense" difficulty icon
Something I noticed when comparing the images (The photo, not the video) was that the "Intense" icon lacked the four slashes that the real icon has.
4) Limited video footage.
This person obviously is looking for attention. If not, they wouldn't have even posted it. If an attention seeker actually had the real game, they would have posted more videos.
5) Deja Vux
That video was a conglomeration of things found on the Brawl site and things from the Demos. The Voice used to pick Pit was one off of a taunt off of a commercial. He just so happened to face Link who's screen shot was used on the Dojo. A little touch-up and you're ready to go
6) Convenience
He conveniently had a crappy image off of a cell phone (because we can believe anything off of some random person's cell phone, right?) that left little to salvage and debate. Everything about this whole scenario seems a bit too convenient for legitimacy.

Got anything to debunk ALL of this? Didn't think so.

Are you ********?
If only we had some kind of remote that we could aim at the screen...
It would move the pointer in all directions... diagonally too!
Oh... I know I've seen one before... where was it....

In my opinion, this is real. End of story.

The person who took the pictures and the video probably wanted to keep at least SOME of it secret, so that's why he didn't post everything about the game. This would be incredibly hard to fake, and everything looks real (and matches up with what previews we've seen so far). That person is SO lucky.

Someone Finally Realizes. Gimpy Did say that. Here's the thread.

http://smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=134761'

People are to busy trying to deny the fact that it's real. I for one think it's legit.

Also I tried to translate Ikki's writing. It's seems he said it was recorded with a cell phone. That could explain the bad quality and why it was so short.

Think about it.

For the last time, THIS IS NOT IKKI. Ikki did indeed post this in his blog, where he questioned the validity of it. He didn't make it himself. Ikki WAS supposed to get Brawl early, however he made a blog post awhile back stating that something came up and now he wont get it early (and might not even get it on release day). So calm down on the Ikki speculation people.

I said that on my thread that it's probably not from Ikki.
It's from http://www.mbga.jp/
which is a closed cellphone network.

Yeah, All I can make out is Ike's hair. This definitely isn't the roster of everyone unlocked, since it only has 22 characters on the screen. Hopefully they do another one once they unlock everyone.

It's true that it is the real roster - that weird guide confirms this. But taking the Dojo chars and getting rid of Sonic and Snake is not beyond the realm of induction. We have to wait for socunai... Who might just be yanking our chains...
