You need to be more aggressive, you're making much of a presence in the match. It's almost like you're not even playing, and your opponent is just spamming the air and managing to hit you every once and awhile.

Crouch cancel forward airs, just try it, it will teach them a lesson. Also I noticed sometimes both of you jumped, sex kick right away, you should hit him first.

I didn't see enough forward smashes, although your spacing was way off so that is probably why. Just a little fact, samus's forward smash>marths in range.

Try using forward tilts more, they eat up marths, and since marth imo has an advantage, you need every cheap tactic back.

In general all tilts work, I have been using downtilt a lot more like wes told me to, and it works really well for starting up combos.

Your combo game itself was pretty good, you seemed to know how to do this well.

Bombs, while yes, they can catch your opponent off guard, you just used it so much it was more of a hazard to you, and then when they did hit, you didn't do anything afterwords. Try bombing, then sit on your shield, when he slashes drop your shield and forward or downsmash him.

Edgeguarding is tough, you seemed to have the general idea, however when they are up high jump out and sex kick them, it works really well.

Grapple wise, I didn't see enough. Not saying spam grapples, but it is useful for combos. Crashman pointed out a short but effective combo downthrow to dash attack.

Most of this stuff I have mentioned is pretty basic, you might not be able to do it at first, not because it is hard to do, just because you don't have the right mindset.

I beleive it is hitbox wise though, so like marth leans forward, then you can outspace him.

It's almost never a good idea to fire missiles while you are standing, too much lag. And when recovering it's usually better to save your second jump for when you are closer to the edge so you can double jump-fair them.

Usually you do not want to play that close to a Marth because of his(?) grab but you seem to know how to play this particular Marth so I guess it was okay.

Very nice use of tilts too.

Dont use dash attack when they are on the ground. That is just what I go by because they can easily shield grab you and that attack is predictable. Instead, jabs and Ftilts (this is what I do, but just do anything other than dash move and you're good).
Wavedash out of Shield helps alot against Marth. When he hits your shield with an Ftilt or an Fsmash it gives you an opening to Smash his as.s right back.
Work on your edgeguarding. When they are real close to the battlefield, dont shoot missles. Instead, get ready to either edgehog or Utilt his as.s.
DO NOT try to challenge a Marth when he's on the ground and you're above him. You will lose every single time. Marth's Uair and Utilt WILL hit you. When you're above, just try to get an edge or the ground, then proceed.
Use Samus' grab. Its good.
Charge up your Charged Blast more. You only did once I think. Do this after every kill.
You're purty decent though, keep Smashin mang. I hope I helped a little bit.

To an extent, standing still missiles come out at a faster rate then rapidly missile canceling.

Same for a falco doing lazors, but we all know what happens if they don't SHFF lazor. Punishment. That's why you usually MC and not stand missile.

Missiles and lasers are 2 different things with 2 different purpuses. Lets see you KO somebody with a laser.

Forward is funny in person.

And I don't see why MC is any different than Lazor Canceling. The reason for both of them is so that you can immediately do an attack after wards. Granted, the lazors are for approaching while missiles are usually for pressure, but the use of canceling them is exactly the same. It doesn't leave you open for attack.

Let's see you KO someone using only standing missiles.

The difference is we aren't talking about which one can be followed up with another attack, we are talking about which can be fired faster. Shooting missiles rapidly while standing still is a much better option when your camping somebody then missile canceling. Although you won't be able to follow up as quickly, you shouldn't be shooting missiles point blank, so it shouldn't matter that much.

If you are vs me in a samus ditto spamming your *** off with all your fancy platform canceling, I'm just going to stand still spamming missiles, there is no point in me doing otherwise, and doing otherwise puts me in risk for getting hit by your missiles.

You can watch the whole match, I do a lot of standing still missiles, but look at 4:08, perfect example of where standing missiles are better then missile canceling.

Okay, so basicly, your saying that it is right to be shooting missiles point blank? Because that is the only reason it would matter so much that you should be canceling it. Unless of course you are simply spamming missiles. Which on FD, having no platforms, standing still missiles are much more efficient then short hopping every single time you want to missile.

I don't know if you took me wrong or something, but I was pointing out some stupid *** point you made about missile canceling. Maybe you should look at it more logicly next time and think, what were his options in that match, not what is the best option he has on whatever stage I feel like pretending he is on.

Let me end this by saying that were the case, then I could end that little fight by firing one homing missile from the platform, causing you to have to do something else. I'm not challenging your intellect, I'm not saying you are absolutely wrong, but I am saying that it is USUALLY better to MC because it doesn't leave you open. No big deal, stop making it one.

I watched that video against Falcon.
Nova definitely knows what to do against Falcon, that's for sure.

The only thing I can suggest is slowing down, let the Falcon take the more 'aggressive' side, and practice some defense. Might make the match a little boring, but it'd be good practice maybe.

Only things Nova needs to work on is not spending his DJ when he is missling, he does it every so often. That Ganon should have won but he got dayum unlucky and that Ganon was pretty good also, I liked him. Nova is also very aggressive. Its not necessarily a bad thing since he's pretty good at keeping pressure, but if he fights someone one with better priority and who uses a better character, such as, Marth, Spacies, Sheik and Falcon, he wont win with such an aggressive style. I aint a fan of the aggressiveness, but it's interesting seeing it. Overall, he's a dam.n good Samus.

Im pretty sure you can UpB Falcon and not get punished too badly or not at all. I see HugS do it against Falcons once in a while, so it must be pretty good. The only character who I think it shouldnt be used against is probably Ganondorf. He seriously does not move and you get punished afterwards.
